My new Sky

Well, I've had my fantastic 2008 Red Line for about 7 weeks now. I love it!! It's a 5 speed black/black/black with 18" chromies. I had a terrible time getting it but it was well worth it.

My dealer was (IS) pretty incompetant. I placed an order on 1/2/2008 and left a deposit. I checked back on 1/30 to see if they had a VIN number and any other info. They FORGOT to order it! Duh??? I raised H--- with them and so they called the factory and said there was one like I wanted being built but it had several things I wasn't interested in (Monsoon, spoiler, etc) but I could have it for the same price as the yellow one I originally ordered. OKAY..........works for me. At least this way I'd only have a 4-5 week wait.

Went back in 2/6 to see about the VIN and shipping info. THEY FORGOT TO ORDER IT AGAIN!!!! They forgot to call them back and reserve it in my name so someone else got my yellow one! How's that for incompetance? Anyway......after another scene with them I chose the black one on the lot at the same price. New car fever really had me and I wasn't willing to wait any longer.

It's the coolest set of wheels I've ever owned. My wife drove it to work 2 weeks ago to show off and some butthead keyed the entire left side! I just got it back out of the body shop Friday and it looks like new again. No more trips into downtown Houston unless I'm packin'!

How do you find out the build date and all for the car?

Not teh exact date (need someone with VIN access) but I can get you close. Open the drivers door. There is a tag there and it will give the date of MFG.

Skip is out of the demanding of pictures. If they want out of the goodness of their heart to post pictures then they can....Skip...
