Getting Your Saturn Sky Forum for discussing the process of ordering/tracking/buying your Saturn Sky. Ever wonder what a VOMS is? How about an "image", or how cars are allocated? The answer probably lies within.

Oh boy...some good news about my order

I received an e-mail from my dealer yesterday that read....Your Sky should be the next one up for production call next Thursday 2/15 and then should begin the assembly line process by mid week... Wowww, it finally looks like I'm getting somewhere.

CONGRATS! The really hard part of the wait begins now - hope it isn't a long one.

You should feel very good about your dealer. They are one of the few that appear to be proactive and understand what "customer relationship" means. My dealer interaction was positive as well but there are a lot on this forum that did have the same experience.

Congratulations

The first conversations I had with my dealer really were not that positive. When I put down the deposit the sales consultant said he would notify me when my car was shipped. A few weeks later I inquired about an order number and I was told "it's and order and that's all it is, just an order". Now I'm thinking, do I really have a genuine order? After a couple more attempts to get some info the sales manager says he doesn't know anything, he gets all his info from Mr. ....... at the Cadillac dealer that handles the Sky orders. OK, so now I get in touch with Mr. Sky order person and politely ask for an order number and he sends me a printout of the order including options, price and my location on the list. Now after thanking him with a gift card to the local donut shoppe I get updated on my order (usually once a month when I request it). Come to think of it my Dealer might not even know the order status. Anyway, I'll take good news where ever it might come from.

You do what you have to do but wouldn't you agree that proactive customer relationship management without the donuts is the ideal. There are many other industry's and corporations that are spending millions on Customer Relationship Management for acquisition, retention and growth? The auto industry is way behind in applying the resources necessary to achieve the three goals mentioned.
