Picked mine up this morning.

Well, I didn't get much sleep last night while thinking it over. I took an early lunch today and was at the dealership at 9am. I bought the only redline they had, black/black 5 speed with spoiler, monsoon and chrome wheels. I only got to drive it about 5 miles on the way back to work for a meeting. I might try to get out of here for a little bit to cruise around. I have a class at the University tonight until 10pm. Plus I can't put the top down as I have the passenger seat full of accessories. (stone guards, impingment and intake. Exhaust was back ordered)

I kept looking for the skip shift to kick in as all of the GM manuals I have had before used the skip shift function (Vette, WS6 TA). It was nice not having to worry about it.

My current job was outsourced to India, I ended up getting a better paying job with another company before my time is up. However, my current company gets a supplier discount and I had to use mine before I left if I wanted it. So, I printed out my voucher and went the dealership. Got my car and here I am posting. New job starts on the 16th. It's a further drive than I have now, so I was looking at MPG and performance together.

The car is perfect for what I needed. Good gas mileage.

The car is perfect for what I wanted. Good performance, open air and good looks.

I could have bought a lot of different cars and test drove a bunch, but every time I saw the sky in person I knew it was the right one.

I just can not wait until the drive home tonight. I live way out on the back roads and it should be a nice drive.

I drove the wifes mini van in today and left it at the dealership until we can go pick it up tomorrow, no way I was leaving the Sky there.

Welcome...

I remember the first few months after I got my Sky I was always looking for an excuse to drive it.

Honey, do you need anything from the store?
I really need to wash my car!
I need to check something on my car!

Ummmm... wait, oh I still do this!

I unboxed the air intake and put it on the passenger floor so I can have room and get the top down. Should be a fun ride home.

Thanks all!

I was fine the nite before I bought my car, since I didn't KNOW I was going to buy it. However I bought my car @ close to 10pm, drove it home and tried to sleep. That didn't work since all I wanted to do was get up just so I could drive it again!

I just called the wife during class break. My 8 year old got on the phone and asked if I could drive him in to school in the morning with the Sky. He got trumped by mom who is taking it to work.

I guess I am working from home tomorrow.

It's so nice to see ya so excited! Welcome to our world. I still get so excited to drive my SKY. I keep waiting for the excitement to clam down, but it just hasn't happen. My SKY (SNOW WHITE) will be two this month and I just can't get enough of her. T.

You need to nip this in the bud. If not, you may be driving a minivan for a long time.

Even better idea, buy her a Sky as well!

Congrats and welcome!

For me it was a Friday night didn't get out of the dealer until 11PM-- I went driving through a twisty canyon with the top down at 12am. Didn't get home until 3am!

Congratulations on both the RL and the job.

I know you will enjoy your ride but don't get a ticket like my wife did the first week, and that was in the 2.4. You made the right choice on the Redline. We have both the 2.4 and the 2.0 and the Redline gets better milage and wow the proformance is sooo much better. thinking about the ECM upgrade from GM next.

Have a great ride and a good time with your new job!

Well, she stole it this morning and took it to work.

It's all good, there is something hot about a woman driving a sports car.

I can't wait for that ECM to come out on the stage II upgrade. That is going to be a blast!

I took it down the back roads last night after school, out where the Mecca tour went by Dupont. Wow, can this car handle. When I test drove and STI I took it down the same roads, I think the Sky felt better to me personally. I think it has to do with the lower center of gravity feeling the car has.

Thanks everyone!
