RL came in but wrong interior

the dealead finally called on thursday and said "good news and bad news....good news, a yellow redline came in....bad news...it has a two tone interior of black/tan and a spoiler". Bummer!!!!!went to lool at it, and it's not bad for me, the tan was too lite for color combo. Dealer said that he could have the upholstery changed but it would cost me $1500.00!!!... So I said, find out if you can order just the seat upholstery, and just have the door panels painted black. He said that he would check, he was even offering to install a clear bra at no charge or a windshield at no charge......going back today to squeeze him some more.......but if the interior can't be changed, then I'll have to wait for the 08. I didn't think that one could order a combo of yellow with black top and black/tan interior......seems like some one mess up with the order.....

Strange...Tan interior is not even an available option for the Yellow exterior (at least not in the US).

That is a severly ugly combo!! Do not except it. Don't tell me GM would not be willing to simply send them black seats and door panels to swap. It would take them about 1 to 2 hours to swap them and send the tan seats back for later use!

That combo isn't just a mistake- it's a factory defect just like the Skys with Solstice sill plates and the Sol with the Saturn logo on the waterfall. You're not even supposed to be able to order it- and with good reason. I haven't gotten a mental picture that ugly since xmicro won a date with MarlboroMike.

I'd politely ask the dealer to contact someone at Saturn Corp. about making it right. I can't even imagine anyone walking in off the street and buying that combo if you turn it down- they aren't that hard to get. They're probably going to have to fix it no matter what.

Stick to your guns. If you take it as is, you'll be the front runner for ugliest Sky on Earth. If I hear of you paying the dealer even $0.15 (let alone $1,500) to fix someone else's error that shouldn't even have been possible, I will personally drive up to Canada and hire someone to kick your behind.

Its may be a mistake. This combo is available here in Canada! My dealer sold one on order that way! Looks weird to me.........

went to see the car with my wife, here's a picture of the car with her in it. My original order never go put thru for some reason, so if I turn this down, I am looking at an 08 with a price increase of probably over $1000 cdn, since I think it is about $700 USD, and I probably won't see it until sept. They're willing to install a 3m clear bra at no cost to me......

I've already waited 3 1/2 months....The color combo isn't as bad as it sounds, now if it came with the tan top, I really wouldn't even consider it at all. As for paying for a new interior, I wouldn't do that. anyway, photo is posted, have a look.....

Horrible combo........It is like wearing Tan pants with a yellow shirt!!!!!!!!!!!!

DON'T DO IT!!! Or pay to have black seats put in...something!!!

have the tan parts changed to yellow and then that will look good.plus you would be one of a small hand full of kappas that is very original I was going to do that but it came in red so I didn't need to

I guess it's not quite as bad as I'd thought. On the other hand, that's not saying too much.

I ordered a triple black Sky about a year ago (almost exactly). It showed up at the dealership on New Year's Day with an automatic transmission instead of the manual I had ordered. Long story VERY short...There was a triple black Sky R/L that some poor soul had ordered but could not finance. During the long wait, I had started to kick myself over not getting the turbo. Because of the mistake (the factory blamed the dealer, the dealership blamed the factory - you know how it goes) I was able to buy the R/L at sticker price and live HAPPILY ever after.

So here is hoping that something positive for you will come from their mistake...
