Are Skys Actually on Dealer Lots?

Closest dealer to me is about 250 miles away, and saturn.com shows a healthy number of Skys and RL on the lot. Is that true? I don't want to call and sound like an idiot asking if they actually have them on their lot - that will only weaken my negotiating position.

Are Skys actually on dealer lots?

FWIW, I'm in south Texas.

I found that the dealers local to me (NY) have maybe one or two on the lots. Saturn dealers here have a no haggle, no hassle policy so the price is the price. Usually, they are somewhat willing to work with you though. Good luck with your search.

I'd bet that it's true. The days of having to special order them and being put on waiting lists are pretty much over. Every dealer down here has several on their lots. Last time I went to my dealer they had over 10. Supply has finally caught up with demand. Saturn is even offering low financing and cash back deals on them every once in a while.

South Texas? I was at the dealer in Corpus Christi a month ago and there were 5 or 6 there.

I'm sure they have 'em on the lot.

As for weakening your negotiating position...it's SATURN....there ain't much to negotiate....unless they go stupid with the dealer options, in which case you give 'em a fair offer and be ready to walk.

If you go to Saturn.com you can locate inventory and price at the retailer of your choice

They are definitely on dealer lots... mine only has one RL in Carbon Flash and no others... but there are other retailers with many more.

In regard to negotiating, as was already said... it is Saturn... so don't worry about weakening any negotiating. Doesn't happen there... unless you have a trade in they can work in or possibly add-ons that they may be able to discount. Other then that... the current price is the price.

good luck finding a 5sp manual.
they are probably all automatics.
i just got mine and it took me months to find it with a 5sp manual had to have a manual couldn't live with the car being automatic.

Here on the lots in Tampa and you can get most anything you want, option wise or, automatic/manual. My dealer had 8 the other day, with a good combination of RLs and auto or manual cars.

It's kinda funny. Here (near Kansas City) there are about 6 redlines on the lot, but they are basically hidden on the used car lot. If you look closely enough to see them through the line of used cars in front of them, your probably not watching the highway as closely as you should.

Well, the Carbon Flash one was really Techno Grey... ooops... but it was sold anyway and gone. Now they have a Polar White manual.
