2012 North American Solstice and Sky Meet – Tips & Tricks/ Do’s & Don’ts

Hey!
This will be my first experience going to Nationals. I am looking for some tips from those of you that have gone previously. Things that work well and things that don’t (besides packing light…). In other words, lessons learned.

Any friendly help is appreciated!

Welcome to your first

what day are you coming in? you have only signed up for one run...if you are going to be there from Wednesday to Sunday you should really try other runs the other days. Meet new people, go to downtown Asheville with a group...the biggest is enjoy the area and the people...both amazing and both tons of fun. THE main thing is to make sure you have a two-way radio with ear piece so you can hear your Road Captain, a Garmin GPS so we can add the runs into it for you so you can see those curves coming up....packing...well I use those green type bags you buy from the stores now instead of using plastic...they pack great in the back.......~~~Chili

Can you give some specifics on the 2-way radio that you are recommending? Speak slowly, I'm technologically challenged.

These are the ones a lot of us have, they have a boom and ear piece so you can hear much better.....
