Now I know about the Nationals and all. I went to Nashville for one. In order to make the Sky people feel wanted , it might behove you to post the same identical thing as you have on the Sol forum. It just makes it out as one big family and not two separate items...this is just one of the little things that Moms and I talked about at the Nationals...Skip...

Told CW that I was taking her to Las Vegas for her Birthday-April, 26.

She said- there must be some Solstice and Sky Event there at that time- Right!

As with the Rocky Mountain Solstice and Sky Club- togetherness

It looks like we are in the process of finalizing the Hotel for the 2008 Nationals. It looks like the Stratosphere will be the place as the rates are reasonable and the parking lot across the street can be blocked off for our event use. It worked out real well for the First Sol/Sky meet in Vegas and we selected it due to it's mid range pricing and good location.

More info on room packages and rates soon.

Any clue what my $110 is paying for? Are there any SKYs participating with the organization of this event? Why is there no info here?

I don't have anything to do with the event in Vegas but registration fees usually cover the costs of your reception/dinner only. All hotel room costs are NOT included.

And the info is posted in the crossover link I believe.

Hi there,

We are trying to get one of our sky owners to start cross posting stuff over here. I can in the meantime.

Your reg fee covers the cost of the banquet facilities for both the awards presentation and banquet dinner. There will be a full bar available but alchohol will be on your own dime.

We should have a full itinerary soon.

Great, I get a free suite there and they pick me up in a limo at the airport. What are they charging for the rooms ? I might be able to talk to someone a get a better deal. Or if someone wants me to try to get them booked they can let me know.

I intend to fly out, I just need to wait until the date gets a bit closer so I know what's going on with work. Sadly, it appears that every rental Solstice within 100 miles is already reserved.

Hi All,

We are working hard on an tentative event schedule. But to give you an idea of the things we are trying to setup.

Meet and Greet on Thursday for early folks.
Cruise on the Las Vegas Strip on Friday night.
Car Show
Autocross
Several Drives such as red rock, valley of fire, hoover damn etc.
Awards and raffle banquet will be on Saturday night.
Vendor showcase
Portable Dyno

This is just some of the things we have in the fire right now. It's just hard to nail down an exact schedule this far out. We should have an official tentative schedule up after the 1st of the year.

We also need volunteers to help work registration, sell raffle tickets, sell solstice books, etc. If you are willing to help for a few hours please PM me. I am also in need of ride captains for the various fun cruises.
