Anyone in the Lower Hudson Valley-New York?

This is a call out to anyone in the following counties/Boroughs:

Bronx, Westchester, Rockland, Putnam, Dutchess, And Orange Counties of New York.

Anyone looking for a club from other area's that is willing to travel, you too are welcome(ie: Capitol District, Northern NJ, etc.)

Looking to start a local club to get together with the Long Island, New Jersey and Delaware clubs already or in the process of being organized.

Any interest from anyone on this forum???

Darn, missed it by one county (Columbia) But I very rarely get down that way other then the occasional trip down the Taconic parkway to JFK. Maybe we need to start one in the Capital District (NYS).

I grew up in Dutchess County, and get back a few times a year to visit family. We plan to be there a week in June (don't have exact dates, yet). I'll keep my eye out for any events, it could give us an excuse to visit more often!

Sorry Paul, looks like we'll be in separate 'clubs' here. I was pullin' for ya. You and your dad were (are) real nice people. I'm sure we'll all get together soon enough.

Thanks Dan,

I still like you guys out there, no hard feelings. I will be getting together with all of you regularly as I stated. Just no point in fighting over naming and such and wind up wasting my time and getting mad, to me it is childish. It's easy to say fair vote when you are in the majority. We should have gone with New York Area and included everyone and been done.

I already had a cool logo to show but was holding it to see how the name thing turned out. I had a lot to offer, I am very well driven in the tri-state area and travel alot both locally and all over the country.
I could have offered a lot in the printing department as well. Could you image everyone puts long Island in the name and I am making up flyers and trying to find people in my area interested. The last thing they want to see is Long Island in the name.

My goal is to start up with a few people up here and join up with you guys and the Jersey and Delaware guys on a fairly regular basis.

Thanks again and I will see you guys soon!!

I still stand by this statement, but don't blame you in the least:

I'd also add that I really like Xmicro's enthusiasm, ideas, and energy and feel we'd be better off with a regional club that includes him than a local one that doesn't.
Honestly, I'm getting a bit sick of the whole thing.

I love seeing posts like that- they always make me think there's some sort of conspiracy brewing! I've answered you.

Nothing really involved. No dues. Just get together as a group a couple of times a month in the nice weather and hang out, do lunch, do drives to specific places together inline. Meet up with other clubs on occasion, Long Island Club, New Jersey Club.
If someone has a good idea of somewhere we can all take a trip to, we plan it out and take a long weekend or something.

Example: GM Factory tour in Maryland, maybe a NJ shore trip, Long Island beaches, Mohegan Sun Casino, etc. The club is basically a reason to meet freinds with this rare car in common, share mods, ideas, and good times.

Do a search for "club" and you will get an idea of what others are doing. I got together with the Long Island guys and had a good time one Sunday afternoon. See pics in the thread below.

Possible meet this Sunday Feb 11 on LI

Please let me know if you are interested, Thanks!

Great Mike,

Warm weather is coming. As soon as the salt is off the road we can all get together at a middle ground for lunch on a weekend.

Figure in about three weeks or so!

Oooh I lived in that area growing up. I was located in Hyde Park (outside of Poughkeepsie). I believe that is Dutchess County, correct?

I have a ton of family in Hyde Park and Poughkeepsie. If you guys get something going, I'd love to swing by and catch you all sometime when I am up in the area visiting family!
