Anyone up for a cruise to West Hampton this Sunday??

Calling all Hudson Valley, New Jersey, NY City and Long Island Sky or Solstice members. I am trying to get a group together to invade the Long Island club and take a nice Cruise out to West Hampton this coming Sunday.

ANY TAKERS??

Antonio, Kwayne, Bluestone Tom, SkyCruizer, Mike, Reed, Dan.

I know a restaurant with a great reputation out there!

I don't eat anywhere that has a reputation better than my own. For a long time, that meant only a Waffle House or a particularly seedy Sizzler. Thanks to recent events, I can now patronize KFC in Manhattan.

While I'd love to join you, I have plans for Sunday and Monday. Have a great time!

hmmm... how far away is that??

So far I don't have plans - I might hit the Vineland drive-in with Tyler early in the weekend, but I'm still open for driving later!

Can't make it on Sunday. Have an "exciting" Baby Shower to attend instead.

But I'm sure I'll make it out to LI one of these days.

It figures, first time you try to set up something on the island, and I can't make it.
I've got two parties to hit and have to at least stop by to wish my dad a happy b-day. I DO want a rain check on this though. Thanks, Paul!!

Just want to mention too, there is an air show at Jones Beach on Sat. and Sun.
Just in case you were planning on Ocean Parkway for part of the cruise

It is about 83 Miles from NY City. We can meet at a place in Nassau (Park) and do the run from there. If I have enough interest I will put it together tonight!

Let me know. Any of you LI guys that have suggestions please PM me.

I know of a few good places to meet. It would be a 10:30AM - 11AM meet in Nassau and a 12:30 - 1:00 West Hampton Lunch. An early afternoon Beach run, and back out on the parkways!

LOL...

It also depends on how early... the late night drive-in movie and ride home afterwards may not give me many hours to sleep if we have to leave early!!

Southern Parkway is awesome...

After the plant tour, I drove out to Quogue to visit my brother. You guys have one of the best runs right there.

Hit Southern State Parkway about 1PM and the "locals" were doing their usual 70 mph (theoretically speaking that is) and at that speed the road just bends and curves ever so nicely.

I was imagining what this would be like early on a Sunday morning with 20 cars caravaning.

You ever plan it, let me know; I will come back!

I do that run a lot going from my house in Westchester NY to my Dads house in Nassau county. There are a lot of great roads in NY. When I first started driving in the early 80's there were so many less cars and it was five times more enjoyable!! But off hours arer always OK. PM me next time you are in the area nad I will put something together!
