Bald Hill on Long Island

Does anyone know when the Bald Hill gatherings start up again - or have they already resumed? Are they on Tuesday or Thursday nights, or both? Are any sky owners planning on attending with their vehicles?

From what I remember Bald Hill is on Tuesdays. I heard Bald Hill has great turn out during the summer, Ill have to check it out. I live in Nassau, there is a gathering at the old Kmart in levitown on Tuesdays also.

Where's Bald Hill? Sound like it could be an interesting alternative to getting up at the crack of dawn with the Sarge!

I believe there is a very large gathering on Friday nights at the Bellmore train station as well!!

You have got to be either insane or retired to get up that early on a Sunday more than once in a blue moon!

Indeed there is. I've been a couple of times when I found myself in the area with some time to kill. Captree has been a lot better, though, and it doesn't hurt that it's 10 minuted from my house!

Last time I made it out there, I was on my way home from the Buds & Blossoms prerun the day before!

I belive its exit 63 of the LIE in the theater parking lot. I have never been there, but Ive been told its a Huge car show.

Bald Hill is north on exit 63. There is an exit ramp for it as you're climbing up the hill. There is also a charge for bringing your car in, I believe it was 5 or 10 bucks. It's run by the local fire department. If you get there after dark, don't even waste your time, it's a poorly lit lot. At least it was last summer.

Just to add another night to the calendar that hasen't been spoken for yet, Thursdays are in Oakdale on Montauk Hwy about a mile east of the 'merge'. It's in the Wendys parking lot and pretty much breaks up at dusk.

no more Kmart. home depot apparently bought it and now they dont want cars meeting up there i was so pissed when i found this out last night

So many car shows during the summer, Massapequa and bellmore on Friday, Beach Hut at cedar beach Sat nights, Sun am OBI/captree.

Skip the shows.Come for something worthwhile. Come with us for a cruise one day. Are there other cars worth looking at besides ours anyways???
