The Cape

Planning a trip to Cape Cod.

I have never been to the area and don't even know where to start planning. I'm looking for some helpful info and some suggestions on where to stay, what to do, any must sees, etc that would be super helpful. Also, if there are any sky's/solstices around, let me know!

Thanks for any details!

First, I want to say that you picked a great place to visit. I have been up there several times and it is my favorite place to visit. The best place to stay is the Three Seasons Motel, it is on the beach and you have a great view of the ocean and the sunrise every morning...Places to eat, Captain Parkers, they have an award winning New England Clam chowder that you MUST get, it is a moderate place to eat, and is a must stop. Whale watching is very cool, you take a jet engine boat up the coast and watch the whales, may sound boring, but it is way cool....I am leaving for Cape Cod in about 41 days...not taking the sky though Not enough room for all the luggage...here are some links:

Three Seasons Resort; Dennis Port, MA on Cape Cod

Captain Parker's: Cape Cod restaurant, Cape Cod Dining, Cape Cod Pub, :Yarmouth Cape Cod MA

Also, take the Cape Cod canal trip, really a great ride....We are going to Nantucket as well......if you need anything else, please feel free to PM or respond..SteveSky67

Provincetown . . . what an Experience!

Love the Cape. I used to go every summer when I visited relatives in Mass. It is one of my favorite places. Be sure to visit a lobster pound while you are there. Fresh, and you pick it out and they cook it and serve it. Informal and delicious. Provincetown is a tourist trap but truly and experience that you should have if this is your only trip to the Cape. You are going to have a wonderful time. Enjoy the trip!

Make sure you spend at least a day at the Cape Cod National Seashore...the surf there is fantastic...beach is so huge, so it's never crowded
