Hampton's (Long Island) Run - August 10

Hampton's Run - Sunday, August 10th
Depart from Starbuck's parking lot at 8:30AM
(Just South of the LIE off Exit 64 - Route 112. It's on the Northbound side of 112.)
The rain date will be the following Sunday, August 17

Hamptons Run - Sunday, August 10th - Pontiac Solstice Forum

The route will be pretty close to the same one we did last year. We'll depart at 8:30AM from the Starbuck's parking lot (just South of the LIE on Route 112 - Exit 64). Please arrive in time. We'll take Exit 70 to Sunrise Hwy. When Sunrise Hwy ends in South Hampton, we'll go off into the twisties and stay that way most of the way to Montauk Point.

Last time, none of us actually wanted to see the Lighthouse. We all spent the money to park, but it was a big waste. Unless told otherwise, this time we'll just drive the Lighthouse loop slowly and go straight to Gosman's.

Lunch will be at Gosman's dock (outside patio area). We'll take a mostly different twisty route out of the Hamptons.

I'll get the outbound and return routes spiral bound from Kinko's, like last year. Please let me know you're coming so I have an idea of how many to get made. I won't have them made until August 8th, so any time between now and then is good.

The route is done in PowerPoint, so if you want an electronic copy of it, just PM me with your e-mail address and I'll get it out to you. That will also be around August 8th, because I want to run it alone just before we go. You never know where or when construction or something nasty could pop up.

HEY Karen,

I'm in on this. I also posted on the Sol side. You'll be amazed at the roads on this run. You'd never guess that you could drive to Montauk on a Sunday and not be stuck in traffic. See you at Sarge's Sunday??

Hey Dan, yes I'll be there Sunday. I'm looking forward to this run. I haven't done a LI run yet.

Hey T - Really glad to see you are coming! Let me know what you want from Dunkin' Donuts and I'll bring you some. There is one right by my house and I'm about 5 minutes from the meet spot so it should still be hot/cold whatever your preference.

Mark, I just drove by the hotel I forgot to mention 2 things. 1. it has a HUGE parking lot so don't worry about the cars. 2. It is practically next door to HOOTERS! I'll meet you guys there for dinner!

Karen,

It's a date.
You do mean this one, right?

Boy do I know how to pick em or what?

Actually I kinda already knew because we stayed here back in May (this is the Marriott right next door)

but it was all booked up this time, so I picked the second closest Marriott, a couple exits away.

I'll call you when we're leaving the wineries and we can either meet up at the hotel or Hooters.
