FYI, Deluke...Mystic on a weekend like this will have so many tourists and traffic problems...once you get near downtown and the drawbridge, there is a ton of congestion...could be a bad way to lose the kappa convoy

Deluke - See you there.
I agree with Jayman Mystic will be a zoo. How about a winery or two? (see map) http://www.ctwine.com/map.html
There's two or three right in the area, Heritage Trail Vineyards is just north of Norwich on Route 169, one of only two Connecticut roads identified as National Scenic Highways or Gouveia Vineyards in Wallingford is real nice and it's convenient to I-91 and Rte 15 for travelers heading home.
Please stop for coffee if you sample too much before heading out.

Hope no one minds I invited my son Bill to cruise along with his Red 1999 Mustang GT (see pic)
Mrs Skyman-CT will be riding with me so no room for him in the Sky.

Not a clue

I don't have any great ideas. Like Jayman said, the usual spots will probably be crawling with traffic. I did find the following link....
http://www.tourism.state.ct.us/drivi...er_gateway.asp
which might give someone more familiar with the area an idea. I am ok with enjoying the company and the casino since I have never been there and will be in the car for hours by the time we get there (not complaining of course, love my Sky!).

GEEZ,
Where did everyone go. I pulled in with the EVO, had to answer a few questions/talk with a few people. Then all the Sky's drove off. I found out about 1/2 hour later that you guys went down a level to get out of the sun ( smart move). I ran down and all the cars were backed in and nobody was around. So I went to the buffet on the winter side and didn't see any groups there. I stopped and ate at Johnny Rockets, then figured I missed you guys. So I went back up to the roof, got in the EVO and as I was leaving, all the Sky's were still there. I guess you SNEKR people really are sneaky .
Can someone fill me in on how the meeting went? Thanks....sorry I missed you all.

Sorry we missed you. We ate at the buffet at the Casino of the SKY... other side of MS. The cruise north after was quite nice, perfect weather, beautiful road... Very nice.

Thank you everyone... Now off to work!

Sorry we missed you man!
We ended up leaving at 3pm for a drive up Rt 169. A beautiful drive, the weather even held for us. After we were most of the way back home we had to duck under an overpass and put up the top.
We'll catch ya next time...

It was so hot that the "Meet" kind of ended very short and we rushed in to eat and cool off.

Bob, Kathy and I were sorry we made you guys wait around for us. It was their first time at the Mohegan and I was showing them the ropes with Kaits brother. I sat down at the Roulette table for more than one hour I was up and down and walked away evened up. It would have been cool if we made the run, next time.

Next cool weather this fall we should make a 2 day Mohegan meet and stay. This way we can chill and hang out by the cars on Saturday, go to dinner, meet up for a Pooled Slot machine Pull. More Relaxed!

Nice to see you all again, see you next time!

Ya, I had a great time. But by the time we start to cruise it's 3:00. I think an over nighter would be great.

Kathy, have you collected any of the free lunches, dinners, and drinks you're owed? Seems to me like you sdhould be able to eat & drink free for months!

Thanks guys, had a great time!

The ride over with Paul was great, even though I was sure he was going the long way...He made me a believer in the end. Fantastic turnout and the lunch was good.

Bob and I are sorry too that we missed the Rt169 trip but it worked out for the best since we headed home once we got to the garage and realized we had missed you. I'm pooped, my summer head cold is still hanging on.

I think an overnighter would be great. Not sure my pocket book is ready for the gambling I saw today but I can live vicariously thru those more experienced at it. Mohegan also has entertainment so maybe we could plan something around a show.

Nice to meet you all, enjoy the rest of the summer.
