June 9th Yuengling Run

Name: yuengling.bmp

This run would replace the Brandywine Trail run so that ctyankee, who's idea to do the run it was, and Wife can attend a later date.

This Run would Start in Allentown, a good central point for NJ, DE and PA members. We would meet at 9:00 AM in the parking lot of the office park located at the corner of N. Ceadar Crest and Office Center Rd just off Rt 22.

We would depart at 9:30 Sharp and arrive at the Brewery at approximately 11:15. this would give everyone time to browse the gift shop before the tour at 12Noon. The tour with tasting will take about 1 hour 15 minutes. We would plan to depart around 1:30 and arrive at Red Robin near where we started around 2:45 for a late lunch early dinner.

Attached is a map and directions.

Please let me know as soon as possible if you will attend as we will needto reserve space at the restaurant.

Anyway to get a later start? If we southern folks wanted to join in then we would need to leave the Delaware Rest Stop at 95 at 6:30 AM to get there by 8 AM.

Rather than ending with a late lunch, maybe we could plan for a light snack in Pottsville near the brewery, and then have an early dinner at the Red Robin instead.

I'm all for starting a little later if possible - I need my beauty sleep!

That's about when I was planning to leave. There is a later tour but they said these getvery crowded very fast. 11 is the lightest attendance of the 3.

Tours are 11, 12 & 1. 1 is the most crowded. What ever works best for the group. 12 means a 9:30 departure 1 means a 10:30 am departure.

My vote would be for the 12:00 noon tour. Then I could get on the road by 7:30am, which is pretty much no different than my Mon-Fri work schedule (versus waking up an hour earlier than I normally do for work! )

Is there any chance of making an advance reservation, since we will be a large group?

Thanks for thinking of us and waiting. For someone who normally has nothing to do, May was one weekend event after another. Now June looks to be about the same. Grrrr.

I tried but they are open to public. They said it could mean 100 person group or us and 15 others, you never know. They do private tours with a better advance notice but they are at 10 am before the public tours.

There is a vette club there at 10AM on the 9th.

If we planned for 12 then we could not get into that because it was full then we should be first on the list for 1 ... what does everyone think?
