MASC Buds & Blossoms Run - April 28th

Well, I posted this info over on the solsticeforum last month, but I guess I failed to post over here. My bad.

So here are some of the details on the MASC Buds & Blossoms Run occuring on April 28th.

We will resurrect the MASC Leaf Peeping Run route that was unfortunately rained out last fall, and enjoy a Buds and Blossoms Run over the same route instead. Basic itinerary was to meet at one of the overlooks on the Palisades Parkway for a breakfast Meet & Greet, run up 9W to Bear Mountain State park, drive through the park and then west to Warwick, NY, ending at one of the local wineries for a wine tasting and late lunch.

Everyone is welcome to attend. I hope we will have a good showing of Sky's!

What a great time we had yesterday! dengel sure put together a fantastic run! Lots of twisties, beautiful scenery, and even a blind rise or two. It is a spectacular drive and everyone should try to make this. Well worth the travel from the Quad State Area. We stopped off at the Warwick Winery where we sampled their great food & excellent spirits.

We're working out some details so stay posted. An email will be going out soon with more specifics.

If you're not on our MASC roster, and you want to be notified of all upcoming runs, please email me with your info. Thanks!

Here we are at Bear Mt. We "attracted" a vette owner from Oregon who enthusiastically accepted our invite to the run. Great guy!

We are meeting at the Palisade Parkway's State Line Overlook which is northbound between exits 2 & 3. Someone knocked the sign down so you gotta watch for the rampy turnoff. I jumped on 95 yesterday but since you're coming in from 287 area it's probably best to get there from Rt 80.

It was 30 miles from my house.

Yes, and if you are taking Route 80 East, be sure to stay in the local lanes. Express lanes will dump you right into the GWB, as I found out yesterday.

Luckily, that "Last Exit in NJ" sign and my GPS saved me from a detour through Manhattan.
