MASC Buds & Blossoms Run - Drive-In Movie Poll
solli4me and I are trying to finalize our plans for the MASC Buds & Blossoms Run scheduled for April 28th. There was some talk by a few forum members that they would be interested in sticking around Warwick after the run to take in a movie at the Warwick Drive-In. Whether or not we do the drive-in could make a big difference in our time schedule for the day and what other activities we plan to do.
Before I do a ton of research looking for an activity to keep us busy until dark, I want to see if there is enough interest in going to the Drive-In. With that in mind, I wanted to get an idea of how many people would SERIOUSLY like to stay in Warwick long enough to go to the Drive-In as a group. There are several things to keep in mind. The movies would not start playing until 8:00pm or later, since it is dependent on the sunset. This means that folks not familiar with the area will be driving home from there in the dark, or staying overnight somewhere. There is some lodging in the area for those who may want to stay overnight. Closest towns would be Warwick, NY, Greenwood Lake, NY or Vernon, NJ. Also, we would need to occupy ourselves between the winery visit and sundown. Some options would be to split up and do our own thing then reconvene at the Drive-In, do another group drive around the area, go Skeet Shooting with Reedred , go to a restaurant for dinner, etc. If anyone wants to check other activities in the area, try this website, http://warwickinfo.net/ There is a lot of information about Warwick and the surrounding area. For now, please vote in the poll for whether or not you would be interested in going to the Drive-In. |

I need about 3 hours inbetween anyway to go home (Mohegan Lake) and let the poochies out. More than 8 hours in a row is rough on them, can't do that. SO if I leave the winery about 4 - 5 PM I Can easily get back by 8PM.
So eating at the Winery is good for me. THE NEXT PROBLEM.....What Movie do we see? My vote is for Zodiac, not into cartoons much.Dengel - Can you give me a link with the full Itinerary or are you still working on it? THANKS! |

And FYI, they do play double features, although you are not obligated to stay for the second movie. There will be a break between the two movies so that any cars that want to leave can exit without disturbing other viewers. |

yeah, yeah, yeah, stop laughing folks, we DO still get along!) The real issue is leaving the kids (15 & 13)for the entire day without rides to dance, baseball and soccer, especially on Saturdays. PLUS if she came, I'd be able to do plenty of wine tasting Looking forward to this run and let's pray for better weather than what happened in the fall!
