MASSC Saturday August 11th Delaware River Tubing Run

After the yuengling run yesterday there was a disucssion about doing a tubing trip in late July to help everyone cool off from the mid-summer heat. Attached is the information.

It is $16.95 for a three hour tubing trip including lunch and transportation from the exit point to the starting point in the river. Parking at the exit point is $4.00. I have included a short run in the route, which is attached. After the tubing trip we can head to New Hope, a short distance away, for dinner/drinks etc...

No worries they apparently have a tube size for those "big daddies" so I know I am covered.

Arggh! July 28th??? That's soooo far away You guys are evil. You get me hooked on "the ride" and then schedule the next one for 7 weeks away. I think I'm going to cry.

There may be someone planning something in the mean time. There is always something going on.

This idea immediately made me think of Ron White's bit about tubing down a river.

I don't remember it being that *cold* that afternoon.
I'm going to pass.

Do you think perhaps Ron is the "Famous River Hot Dog Man?"

OK- If all y'all are willing to pee on yourselves, I guess I can too. I've arranged to take an EMT/lifeguard with me since I can't swim. His only condition is that there not be a drought- that would make the river really slow and leave us as a tasty buffet for the local bugs. We'll confirm a few days before the event.

Reed I would like to see you at future car meets. Being that the Delaware River is an average of 40 Feet deep and has a fairly strong current, AND YOU CANNOT SWIM , I suggest waiting on the shore for dinner and a cruise.

I may make the second half of the day, I do not like river or lake water, oceans only for me. It's an OCD thing, DON'T ASK!
