MECCA II - The Saturday Run

PLEASE READ THE POST BEFORE VOTING IN THE POLL

So we are working up the details of a Saturday run after the plant tour. This promises to be a run with fun for all. There will be twisties, there will be views of the Delaware Coast, there is the possibility of ice cream, there will be lunch at some point, there will be time spent at the Dover Air Force Base Museum AMC - Home and yes the possibility of even more

So you are voting that you are going to be in the area and want to participate in the run.

Will this run involve Dogfish Head beer in any way?

I don't know the location of the Brewery restaurant in relation to the AFB.

Let's not make the Saturday run too early in the morning.

If things go according to plan, there will be some recuperating to do in the morning*

*Of course, when driving on Friday designated drivers will be used... until people are back to the hotels of course.

since Sun is mothers day...I need to be home, so plan on leaving Saturday,whenever I awake .....its roughly 9-91/2 hrs back to Mich...so want to take it easy on the ride home..

I plan on getting to town around the 4th... hanging out with the brother in law and then with all the Mecca gang... then after sundays fun... I will go back to the Brother in laws and let him know all the fun I had... head home monday or tuesday.... SkyBaby

Please be advised that after the Air Force Museum...a few of us would like to re-visit some KNOCKERS at CASABLANCA. I promise not to touch anything without washing my hands..look at the 3rd pic...someone is having a FANTASY

My wife and I live in the area, SE PA, and will take part in the run after the plant tour. I spoke to the brother of a guy who works in the plant last Saturday and he was excited to see the SKY that I was driving and very excited to tell me that his brother probably took part in building it in Wilmington.

Miles piling up quickly now after one week of taking delivery, almost hit the 1k marker. Just great to drive Main street in downtown University of Delaware and see all the eyes turn.

Hope to be able to meet you folks and share stories. See you then.
