how big is this fairfield inn to be able to fit us all in? or are they completely empty on a typical night.

If it wasnt for us, they would be a ghost town!

3 floors, 133 rooms. I sent the manager a fax this afternoon asking if there was anything they could do to make our stay a little more special. It's short notice and it's Marriott's no frills chain, so I'm not sure what they could do. I guess we'll find out.

Thank you so very much for your reply. I don't know if I feel more or less iffy about it now. It said it was updated recently, hmmm... Oh well, I'll see. It's only three nights and we're pretty heavy sleepers!

Thanks again! See you there? (I'm feeling too lazy to look up the list)

That is 2 weeks away. She should still come.

Very nice of you man!!! I will keep you appraised!!!

MapQuest says it should take me 9 hours and 40 minutes from my house to yours. I have heard I should be able to make it in like 7 hours. I will leave Columbia, SC around 9:30 AM or so. I hope to be there by 7PM but I will not know for sure until I actually take off and make it somewhat half way there...

The phone you gave me for you is a cell# or a home #?

U know U are invited - problem is - everyone wants SkyBaby to be wherever they are! If ya don't make it to Buckley's, then come to the Mexican Place!

Does that help at all?

I have a feeling you are going to be driving all over the place!

Don't leave much later than 09:30 hrs, you will already be in the middle of DC's and Baltimore rush hours and on a Friday they are really ugly. That said, I think will be there before 7 PM.

Helpful hint - If you are coming up I-95, then listen to WTOP (103.5 FM) for traffic reports on the 8's. For the most part the fastest way around DC is via the eastern side of the beltway (outter loop over the wilson bridge), but if you hear of any accidents on the wilson bridge, you may want to go the other way around. Another, more relaxed route, albeit longer, would be to cross over the potomac river south of DC and take Maryland route 301 north to bypass DC (Maryland Sky owners maybe able to offer additional insight - I have never taken this route since it is not an option for me, but I hear people referencing it all the time).

Drive Safe, R1chy

Great tip I highly suggest getting off I-95 at Rt. 301. Take that up to Bowie, MD, get on Rt 50/301, cross the Annapolis Bay Bridge and continue on 301 into Delaware. Beach traffic can make crossing the bridge iffy, but it's a damn big, four lane each way, two span bridge. Sure is a hell of a lot better than I-95 all the way. Four lane divided highway after the bridge, farm country, and very little traffic and really relaxing.

Actually, the bridge is 3 lanes each way. But during weekend getaway times, they switch one lane on the westbound span to eastbound. To avoid this one lane, go through the tollbooth (2.50) on the right half. Stay left at the 50/301 split to take 301 North. But I'm sure you could figure that out.
