Saturday's Run will start in Connecticut at Mohegan Sun at 10:00 AM (see link above for meeting location) - after an hour for Meet & Greet time we'll head up to Massachusetts for lunch at Piccadilly’s in Sturbridge, MA and maybe an hour or so to hit the local the shops?

Then we'll continue our Tri-State journey down through Rhode Island with a stop at Arcadia Management Area, Browning Mill Pond Recreation Area lot.

And then we'll end up back at Mohegan Sun for the dinner at The Casino of the Sky - Sunburst Buffet leaving some time at the shops, slots or tables your choice.

Sunday we'll do breakfast and a run down to the Mystic Area for any who are staying overnight.

And if anyone wants’ to do dinner on Friday night that's a possibility also just leave a PM - Sky07, Ronzer & Skyman-CT will be in the area.

I am a 50/50 until last minute, I have lots going on. But if I stay overnight it will be at the Mohegan's Hotel.....that is the best place. For club members it is $99 a night maybe $175 for outsiders.

Plus than I can gamble to 5AM until I cannot see straight and not have to worry about driving to the hotel!

Hope you can make it, good luck on getting a room I'd try and book real soon.

I was thinking of trying to get a block of rooms at Mohegan Sun, but I didn't think many would spring for the rate. They're sold out for the 24th & 25th and they're listing $529 for a Saturday rate probably because Sheryl Crow is performing?

"T" lives nearby and is trying to get us a reasonable local hotel rate. We'll post details soon.

OKAY for those reading this there is some great roads where plenty of picture taking is possible such as hills and views. it would be a great run and a lot of fun.
Stretch246 and myself loved the run and were glad to have been a part of the trail run, we are sad to miss the actual run, but as a family we will be away vacationing.

Thanks for the plug Jet, it was fun running with you two last weekend in our famous Red, White & Blue formation that is until "T" goes a little .

Gonna miss you on the real run, have fun with the family.

OMG I just got off the phone. I have been on the phone for hours. Lots of stories. My last phone fall was from Stretch 246 and he is mad at you. He told me to pass this on to you.....
He is upset that you DON'T know what his member name is on the forum..... He thought he was a close friend? Boy are you in trouble. Better you then me. You keep calling him Stretch 244 and It's Stretch246 I hope this error thing you fixed, is his name.... Oh dear....

Glad we got together this week-end to do a finally test road trip. Sturbidge Village is a great place to stop at and do some shopping. Yahoo!!! Us women love to shop.

Ok, most rates close to the casino are running $200 or more a night so I would suggest the following.

I'd first suggest the Holiday Inn Express in PLAINFIELD, CT (#4 on map) it's only 20 minutes from the casino and closer to Sky07's house with advance booking rates starting at $130/night however if you want to stay closer to casino then I would recommend the Holiday Inn and Suites in NEW LONDON, CT (#2 on map) advance booking rates starting at $190/night
