Spiedie Fest - Aug. 2nd & 3rd, 2008

Saturn Corp will be back this year!!! Saturn of Binghamton is getting one of Saturn's mobile event team trucks again to display the new cars and more!!!

This will be a great weekend. We'll be able to include everything people like to do:

Cruise through the hills either Saturday before dinner... ending at the Spiedie Fest.
Dinner Saturday night with cruise-in.
Car Show Sunday morning through the afternoon.
Hot air balloon rides??? There are 5 launches *6am and 6pm daily Fri - Sun*. A very unigue opportunity at a car show. Bob "GetAboutRL" was able to hitch a ride in a balloon this past year... I rode about 15 years ago. From what he said, they are still a blast!!!

At the Spiedie Fest, there are also Concerts, Arts & Crafts, Beach Volleyball Competition, Children's/Small Amusement Rides, Spiedies... Spiedies... Spiedies... and other foods.

There is a drag strip that may have Test & Tune that evening, will have to check on that.

I saw in last years thread that some thought of making it a get away weekend. Not only would the hot-air balloons be romantic... but there are some nice get away B & B/Hotels in the area.

There are other places all over... if you would like a suggestion for certain type of place, please let me know.

I can state to the fact that this is a huge event with a lot to see and do! Folks were just great to talk to and organizer's were very polite from "Hello". I even did a balloon ride on the last day

A highlight was meeting some great forum member's ... "todaresqSL2", "SkyNV" and "Excelisor" are fun and terrific souls to spend time with!

I have marked the date and hope to make it once again and encourage all to participate!

To early to say Yes. But I am marking my calendar. I am sure it would be a great trip. Love to go. As it gets closer I will let you know. Is there a deadline date?

No real deadline date, but I would like to have an idea of numbers to give to the GM of Saturn of Binghamton and the festival organizer.

I will most likely be going have a better idea as it draws closer. It's was a fun event and hope some more forum members show up!

Just got together with the others that I work with to put on the car show... should have the registration flyers finished soon. If you would like one mailed to you, let me know and I can send one out to you.

Also speaking with the GM at S o B to see what they can do to help out with the cruise and goodies.

Question: Would we be getting together on one day more than the other? If I needed to choose a day it would be Sunday. Plus, that's the day they hand out trophies also

When the event nears, it would also be nice to pick the better weather of the two days also.
