OK... I have the details for the funeral.

It is Saturday at 10am... the cemetary Officer Rossi will be laid to rest at is actually right next door to the Red Roof Inn. If you would like to pay your respects... let me know.

I also did a trial run for the cruise on Saturday afternoon into evening through the hills of NY and PA. Make sure you don't fill up all the way before the cruise... gas will be cheaper in the PA section.

Here is what I was thinking of for the weekend.

Friday Evening: If you arrive before 8pm, there is a cruise-in at Tom's Texas Hots @ 1237 Upper Front St. Binghamton that starts around 5:30 and ends around dusk... sometimes a little later.

If you arrive later and/or just need a bite to eat, near the hotel is a brand new Ground Round... Ruby Tuesday is across the street in the mall... and Friendly's is right on the corner. There is also a place called Christie's Grill in the Giant Plaza where the McDonald's is.

Saturday Morning: I will be up around 6am and heading over to the fest to help with the Saturday Car Show. I will then be doing something with the funeral. Either attending it in Binghamton or helping with traffic in Johnson City.

Either way, immediately after, I thought we would get together for brunch or lunch, then head out on the cruise which should take a few hours with stops.

In the evening is the large cruise-in at Barnes and Noble. We could do that and have dinner at Uno's.

Sunday Morning: I know Bob mentioned arriving at 8:30 over at the Red Roof... would you be able to come earlier??? I was hoping to have our cars headed there around 8am.

The car show is until around 3pm... concert at 6pm.

Anyone else with any ideas??? If you wanted to tour the Binghamton area Saturday before the drive... let me know and I can point you in the right directions... we have 6 original wooden carousels that are free to ride... the 5th oldest zoo in the US... and much more.

todaresqSL2,

Ronzer & Mrs will be arriving at Red Roof Inn around 6:00 - 6:30 PM Friday however Sky07, Me & Mrs won't be arriving there until 10:30-11:00 PM Friday evening. We'll most likely leave on Sunday right after car show because I'll have to be back up at 4:30 AM Monday to head for work.

I'll PM you my cell number so you can call Saturday to hook up for Brunch/Lunch. - We can discuss all the rest of plans then - however I won't be checking my computer after 3PM today.

I'm assuming the Red Roof parking lot is a good meet up place, but if you have somewhere else in mind just let me know?

Bob - Here's the address info:
Red Roof Inn Binghamton
SR 17 at Harry L Drive, Exit #70-N
590 Fairview Street, Johnson City, NY, United States, 13790
Phone: (607) 729-8940 Fax: (607) 729-8949

Thanks... I will plan to meet you at the Red Roof Inn unless we see a posting otherwise.
I am heading up in an hour to Heuvelton (up by Watertown) to visit my brother. Sunday back down Rt 81 to Red Roof and afterwards .. run back up Rt 81 to Sacketts Harbor to meet up with friends. Then Monday late afternoon, back down Rt 81 to head home.

I will bring my laptop to check-in.

I am thinking, if all those are OK with it, we can head over to the Spot Diner at 1062 Upper Front for a quick breakfast at 7am. Then, head over to this car wash at 8am... Wash At Joes - Touchless Car Wash in Binghamton, New York ... which is just up the road at 1431 - 1433 Upper Front St. So, you are welcome to meet at either the diner for breakfast, or the car wash.

K, got your PM... and I replied. I will be getting off my quick for hour shift at about 6pm. If you all are hungry at that time, we can go grab a bite to eat after you settle in to the hotel room and maybe check out the Friday Night Cruise In... the car club that puts on the show will be coming in to the park at dusk as well... we may be able to tag along.

OK, so we will see you either at the Red Roof... or we can meet you at the Spot Diner, so you don't have to back track. You would be passing the Diner's exit on I-81 to get to the Red Roof.

todaresqSL2,

It's not to early for me I'm normally up about 4:30 O'clock but the wife may be dragging - see likes her beauty sleep don't you know.

I'll have to make sure she's tucked into bed early Saturday night or plan on going go back and pick her up before heading over to the show.

Anyway I'm heading out now, I've got 2 hours drive to get back to Bristol from work and pick up the wife and "T" then another 3-1/2 (4 with a stop for eats) over to Binghamton. See you in the morning.

Dave,
Sorry the others missed our exclusive Saturn showing Saturday at Spiedie Fest, The Run, Dinner and the Car Show on Saturday made for a really fun day.

Thank Matthews Saturn for putting us out front in their display and hiding the Solstices around back.
This was our chance to get even for for all the Solstice handouts given to us Saturn owners at MECCA II right? Just kidding Ronzer, you know we love you guys

Breakfast was great, and so was the company, however Dave next year we have to find a car wash that doesn't allow Off-Roaders.

I had less mud on my car after our run in the rain than after the car wash

Of course in your defense if we had used the touchless wash...
however with the luggage in the trunk I wasn't about to try my first high pressure water test, I get enough water in there when I use a hose.

Thanks again we had a Great weekend.

Sorry Where is the thread for pictures of the Speedie Fest?? I can't find it? Was there one? Oh Dear...... I guess I will post them here.
Just been so busy that I haven't had a chance to post some pictures. Here are a few of my favorites. The pictures of me trying on a dress is really funny. If I have time I will post them for GetAboutRL. I still need to post pictures of the LI NY trip too.. Just not enough time in the day. Oh dear... T.

todaresqSL2 washing his hot SKY...

Mrs Ronzer shopping again.

Getting into trouble again and having fun doing it. I think I stole SKYMAN's change at the car wash?
