Upstate NY Sky, how is the forecast?

Are there any SKY'ers in the NY area outside of NYC?

Still Looking

Not so many of us have found the forum I guess, NYSky has been trying like a bugger to get some interest going in the Hudson Valley area. I imagine he has yet to see your post. Just know there are some really great Sky and Solstice owners in the Long Island, Jersey and Western Penn areas.

I'd really like to see some rides planned further north. There was a thread a while back about trying to plan a trip to a track...any ideas? Where are you located?

Right near Syracuse. Not sure if you are familiar with the upstate area but there are a lot of attractions and nice rides to take. Lake George, Lake Placid, Saratoga, Blue Mountain and other parts of the Adirondacks are good. The "track" you mean Watkins Glenn? They are all really nice places. I'm hoping the meet in Binghamton in Aug. does not get cancelled. I would go to that one for sure.

Yeah, lots of great potential rides. FYI, I think todaresqSL2 is near you. Maybe Lake George? a day in Woodstock? Watkins Glen could be good too...

The 'track' discussion was about getting out on a track and running up some serious mph to see what the cars can do. BUT it could also be a destination ride to watch an event. I was checking out Lebanon Valley speedway (no good, dirt track, but looks like they have some good events), also noticed NH International Speedway but while you can get track time you have to have a race license or cert from a racing school to get on the track. Pocono Raceway does track rental to car clubs and race clubs...maybe...did not look at Watkins Glen.

We need to catch up and plan some good ride events. So far the Long Island club and MASSC have been doing all the meet and greets in the area. I know some of them would attend a ride if we can come up with a good one. Let me know if you think of anything.

p.s. yeah I want to plan for Binghampton in August too

Hey Cathy and Bob,

Long time no see . Who is NY SKY??

Anyways, I am trying to get a group of Hudson Valley Sky and Solstice owners together for a club to meet with all the other groups. So far we have had some "unofficial" club meets. Last weekend at the Mohegun Sun in CT we had a VERY Strong showing (about 17 Kappa's), great times and friends were made, great people over in CT!

Syracuse is not really Hudson Valley since you are so far west, but if you can find a group locally put together an "Upstate NY" branch of the MASSC.
You do not need to be part of a club to come to ANY meets. I personally am trying to get a local group together for more frequent, imprompto local meetings. So far myself and Skycruzr is it for the Hud Valley officially. Some long Island guys join up with us a lot but they are more from the LI group. ReedRed is part of everygroup within a 7 hour drive of here, and we all love when he shows up, he adds to the festivities (can you say, "Donut, Officer?" )!

Anyway SKYNV you are welcome in with our club anytime!

By the way Bob and Kathy, I am working on the logo some today. I will let you know as soon as I find a concept that I think looks good, gonna need your feedback!!

See you guys soon!

Here is the Hudson Valley Link:

New Club For Lower Hudson River Valley. ANYONE??

Touche' Sorry, it is not anal, I appreciate the correction. I have a co-worker that spells it that way. Familiarity breeds contempt.

Nice Plate....yeah brain power is low today since I even got your old plate wrong it was SKY NY not NY SKY eh?

Been out of commission last couple of weeks...I went to my Niece and Nephew's graduation in Michigan. Did have a Solstice and a Sky sighting while there, made me homesick...played golf yesterday...boy weather is pretty yucky today or we would definitely be cruisin.

...well enough about us...lets see the logo ideas...
