Confusion about upcoming Dragon runs!

Can't wait to start heading up there but after trying to follow all the threads talking about the different runs on the different days I'm now completely confused as to what's happening when! I checked the official website but didn't see any of the night runs listed. I also saw some places mentioned like Cade's Cove and Tuckaleechee Caverns that I didn't see any runs for.

Can someone list which runs are happening on which days and at what time? I know there are several day runs and some informal night runs planned but with so many threads it's confusing trying to figure out what's happening when. Thanks!

Evening Outings

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

OK folks something else we have planned.

Friday Night June 27th - Pigeon Forge

After we finish with the Group pic by killboy, whoever wants to join us, we'll head over to Pigeon Forge for some fun. Anyone familiar knows the area is loaded with restaurants, mini-golf, go-karts, etc.

Saturday Night June 28th -- Foothills Parkway

After the dinner Saturday night, anyone who still wants to take another drive, we'll make another night run thru the Dragon and up onto the Foothills Parkway, and stop to take in the lights of the Milky Way and the city lights of nearby Knoxville!!

Keep these activities in mind!

lostcause, I got mixed up and started signing up for stuff twice. Don't worry. I'm sure things will work out. It seems the good folks that are putting this together are pretty flexable and will head us in the right direction when we get there. Chillisky, do I get both peach cobbler and red velvet cake or do I have to choose? And can I get a scoop of ice cream if I choose the cobbler? Two more days!

Gary,

It's a buffet dinner. You can get both desserts if you like. As far as I know, no ice cream available.

lost cause,

just come on up. If you have a question where you are supposed to be either me or one of the others will be glad to help you.

Well if I get too confused I'll park the Sky for a couple of days and spend the whole time blind stinking drunk by the pool.

Barry, Contain yourself or I'm just going to attach a chain to your rear axle thursday morning and you can drag me up there. You're so hyped up now you probably wouldn't notice and I could save lots of gas.

Cool. For now I'll worry about getting there, then I'll worry about the rest once I'm there. I know I'm signed up for the devil's triangle run but still have no clue about the night runs.

I'm heading out first thing tomorrow morning!!!

Sorry guys- I just saw this thread now. I am more than willing to lead the night run up to the Foothills on Sat. night after the dinner, for those interested. In addition, I will have maps for those interested in the Friday night evening run to Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg. It should be noted that if you stop in PG or Gatlinburg to eat or play mini-golf, etc., then you will be getting back to Fontana pretty darn late. The run I had planned at this time would allow for a short stop in PG/Gatlinburg, and then take us through the park and back around to Fontana. If the weather is nice for stargazing there will be a detour loop up to Clingman's Dome. The route with no stops is about 3 hours 55 minutes. If we stop for a brief bite- it would be about 4.5hours. Leaving at 7-8pm would get you back to Fontana around 11:30 or 12:30. If you are not a night owl, then Dragon's Pit in Maryville may be the way to go.

Again, I will have maps available for the Friday night run. I will also have maps available for my participants doing the Devil's Triangle, and for my Hot Shoes Group on Sat doing the Cherohala. I am so stoked right now.
