Great Smokies Trip

I hope to see some of you in the Smokies the week of July 16th, 2007 in the Townsend and Gatlinburg, Tennessee area. I Plan on taking a few trips through Cades Cove during the week.

I have dreamed of driving the 11 mile loop road through the Cove with the top down since I got the car on Memorial Day.

We need to plan a get-together here, as it is one of the most peaceful places left in the Southeast with plenty of eating places and cabins in nearby Townsend, Tennessee. Lots of curvy roads into the cove too!

Flag me down or blink your lights and we'll chat a while! Check out my signature and gallery for photos of the car.

Hope to see yall!

We're driving to Townsend from PA on the 15th. Doing the Dragon on the 16th. Depending on how many trips we take up and down the Dragon, we may be back in time to do Cade's Cove. We love it there.
Leaving for Virginia Beach the morning of the 17th. PM me if you want to exchange cell numbers or set up a tentative meeting.

Please be careful through Cade's Code with the Sky unless they have repaved it since I went through there last. The road was pretty torn up and potholes. Areas where the air dam could get caught and dragged off. So take it slow and careful if need be.

Thanks for the info. I can remember the last time that I drove through the Cove and the low areas, especially when you cross the creeks. You're right, it will drag in places.

Again, thanks for the heads-up!

We took the main road from the top to the bottom of the park and caught the Blue Ridge Parkway for to Asheville NC after the Solstice nationals last month and that was a blast!
