Greenville, SC, Cruise

We had a fabulous evening Saturday night in Greenville, SC. The downtown area is just beautiful with lots of cafes and green areas. They have a walkway with a bridge that goes over a river in an area with waterfalls and ponds. Children were playing and getting their feet weet (children like Steve ?). It was hot as blazes cruisin' down, but the TRIO Brick Oven Cafe treated us right when we got there. It's a really charming place with amazing food. The brick oven cooked wings were particularly scrumptious--not to mention the Kaluha cheese cake. A really friendly, comfortable, classy place with great food. Thank you so much, Kip!

I didn't take too many photos, but the best ones are here:
Slideshow. It was great to meet Kimberly (ChiliSky), Ryan (jrarant) and Anita (NCRedline's "female passenger" ) for the first time. Lucas, yo'mama is one crazy woman--and I mean that in the nicest way!! We missed Kara, but loved meeting Anita.

It was great to cruise the main drag in downtown Greenville after we ate; the evening air temperature was perfect. Lots of smiles and thumbs-up, and we walked by one amazing ferrari when walking back to our cars after eating.

Another great time was had by all. Thanks, everybody!

Rusty, I tried EVERYTHING to get in touch with you--I even tried your cell phone because I still had a number from the last cruise. Sorry you missed out! We kept wondering if you were going to show up. No pretty midnight blue Sky at our get together You must read the forum!

We missed Rhonda, too, who had to change her plans at the last minute due to a death in the family. And it's too bad B.A. and Sol-Candy (Cindy & Pat) weren't there. Next time, guys!

Looking forward to seeing you next time, too, Rusty. If you get a chance, you really should check out the Cafe. It was "the bomb."

You know, that pesky thing called "going to work" gets in the way all the time!!! This was a perfect venue for me since I only live about 1 hour from Greenville... Just couldn't get the day off!!!

Looks like you guys had a good time as usual...

Regards,

BA...

Do you have the number ending in 7268? I didnt notice any phone calls that saturday. I am that I missed it, since that was right in my area. I guess the positive side was that my fiancee and I went to Lake Lure yesturday (Sunday) for a cruise on our own. If you want a winding road, try the one on the other side of the dam on Lake Lure, that kicked in my stabilitrak several times I'll keep an eye out for the next cruise.

I had another great time with our Sky cult!!! Thanks Kip for taking such good care of us at your restaurant. If anyone is in the Greenville area, you've got to eat at Trio Brick Oven Cafe! We had wings and bruschetta for appetizers. I had a caesar salad and the spicy shrimp and scallops fusilli. And for dessert we had the Kahlua Cheesecake. Everything was wonderful!!

Downtown Greenville was very nice! The waterfalls and bridge were cool. And of course on the way back we stopped for margaritas!!! This is now our tradition!

Well, it looks like I get to plan the next cruise. Do yall want to hang around the Lake Norman area? For a trip in the future, would ya be interested in going to the beach like Hilton Head, Myrtle Beach, or Charleston or would yall want to go back to the mountains?

Here's my pictures from the Greenville trip:

Yep, that's the number, but we had bad cell phone reception through some areas on the I85 so maybe it didn't come through. It sounds like you had a nice cruise that day, anyway. Next time we all get together, maybe we can meet your fiancee-- assuming that she loves your SKY, of course, and that you're willing to risk introducing her to us before the ring is on her finger!? We don't want to scare her away!
