How many of us are around Hampton Roads? Saw a white Sky on Sunday at Holland and Rosemont.

I work on the Little Creek Amphib base. Only drive my Sky when there is no rain in the forecast, so sightings of me are rare.

Saw 2 Skys yesterday on 168 in Chesapeake just north of the toll booths. 1 Bluestone and 1 Red which was unfortunately getting a ticket at the time by a motorcycle cop.

I love the Virgina Beach area! When we lived in DC, my family used to have a beach house down there, and it was a great chapter in our lives.

I am involved in helping the GM Roadster Sky & Solstice Club people develop websites for local clubs, and there is a member in Virginia that would like to form a chapter. We already have a couple of domains, varoadsters.com, tidewaterroadsters.com, virginiabeachroadsters.com, and my favorite hamptonroadsters.com.

If you are interested in helping the effort to form a local club, please register at www.gmroadster.com, and we will make sure that you are informed of anything that is going on. Right now, they are offering a discount on a national charter membership, but you can also register as a "Visitor" to be informed of happenings in Virginia.

My niece was stationed at Norfolk till about a year ago, so now I don't have as much cause to go there. When I lived out East, however, I was involved with the BMW club (there is a Tidewater BMW club at www.tidewaterbmwcca.org) and I often drove down to the beach house through the Blue Ridge Mountains and then along the coast -- I can smell the mountain and coastal air right now!

Also, GM Roadster's first North Carolina chapter is forming, and the website is under development at www.NorthCarolinaRoadsters.com. Below is a copy of the business cards that are in the process of being send to the NC dealerships. There are some beautiful places to drive just south of you in NC, and I am sure that you guys can do events together.

You live in BEAUTIFUL country. Having moved to the desert, I really miss it!

Funny
One of our favorite places to visit is AZ, especially the Winslow area.

West Ocean View area of Norfolk here, about three blocks from Chesapeake Bay. It's my only ride for now, so she's been out in all kinds of weather! Sounds like a great idea to try and do a meet and greet somewhere in the area. A Saturday would probably be best, to give folks some travel time if they're not so close. I'm sure there are plenty of places around here that would have adequate parking so all us Skys could park together!

Hey all, new to the forum here. Would love to come out to a meet (if no one minds the supra )to meet some members while my girlfriend and I await the purchase of a sky redline. We're looking to get one around the end of April/May. Does anyone know of any good places to buy one? The dealership on Laskin had a handful last time we went but we're thinking about checking out Maryland for any great deals.

BTW, I've seen a couple skys driving around Norfolk/Va Beach, such gorgeous cars!

SupraDoc, welcome. We got ours from Saturn of Va Beach, and got a pretty good deal and they were real nice and easy to work with. Good Luck.
