Jax Sky and Sol ride to Cedar Key, FL

The Jacksonville GM Roadster Club is planning a ride Saturday, May 31, to the "Old Florida" historical village of Cedar Key.

The Club will meet in the Beef O'Brady's parking lot approximately two miles west of the I-75/SR 24 Interchange, Gainesville at 11:00AM. Beef O'Brady's is on the right travelling west on SR 24. We will depart Beef O'Brady's at 11:15 AM for Cedar Key.

The Club plans to visit the Cedar Key State Museum, a motor procession through the heart of the village, lunch on Dock Street, shopping in the Artist District, and, if time permits, wine tasting at the Dakotah Winery in the town of Chieftain.

I LOVE this place. I told Gene that I spent a year in Jacksonville about 10 years ago, and found many wonderful places in Northern Florida. Cedar Key is a true treasure!

This is one of my favorite places to visit. It's a great little fishing town, that has become a great little claming town. Everytime I go, I load up on clams to bring home to eat at a later date, and to share with family and friends. This will be a fun time for sure.

You are gonna be puttin some miles on that car...Sat Cedar Key and the next day the Pin run. My wife and I went there last fall and loved it,,,great food as well.

You know, I'm pretty sure that's what I bought it for. I love the ride. I love the feel. Only problem is I can't sleep in it.

Just wanted to say that we had a great time yesterday, and it was great meeting all that went. On our way out of Cedar Key, we stopped at our favorite clam place, and picked up 300 of the little buggers to take home. Yum-yum!

Looking forward to seeing all the pictures that were taken. Thanks Shirley for the email and pics...looks great.

The Jax Sky and Sol ride to Cedar Key was great and attended by Kappa owners from Tampa, Ocala, Palm Coast, Macclenny, Orange Park and Clermont. Thanks to those who drove so far. It was wonderful meeting each of you.

Our next ride will be in the Fall, but we will have a meet and greet later in the Summer.
