Key West run soon?
hey everyone!

I know I have been a stranger....I changed jobs! I will have weekends off from June to October, and would love to go down to the Keys and spend the night. Anyone interested?

Karen, My wife and I have been in sunny Florida for ten years now and haven't been to the Keys yet. I took delivery of my 08 RL 11/15/07 and one of the first things we talked about was doing a Keys Run. We have plans to do a mountian run in June, Tail of the Dragon, but any time after that we would be open to doing the Keys. . . not too sure if the Keys during the heat of Summer is such a good idea though. What are your thoughts being from south Florida??

I'm ready to go at a moment's notice! I'll need a bit of notice to do an overnight but I can do a day run pretty much anytime.

I'm also doing the dragon run in June.

Hi! I have only lived in sunny Florida for 3 years! It will be HOT July to October. I work with the cruise lines and having off on a weekend is almost impossible the other months. 10 years and have not been to the Keys yet...

Yep! I love it. I'm a lunatic though. I'll drive with the top down no matter how hot it is. Heat doesn't bother me while driving. Worst case scenario I'll put up the windows and crank the AC but still leave the top down. The only times I've done this though is when I have a passenger who doesn't appreciate the nice warm Miami weather like I do.

I know, I know. . sad ain't it?? So with all things considered, it's gonna be hot, how hot? damn Hot!... we haven't been to the Keys (a sacrilage) and there seems to be some geniuine interest in doing this, count us in. . .

We will keep an eye on this thread for more details as they develop.

I think this is a great idea! However, July is just nasty, as is August. October is really the best time to go, and by then all the kiddies are back in school.

I'm planning on doing the same thing this time around as I did last fall. Spend Friday night in the Miami area, then Sat & Sun in Key West, return home Monday AM. Can't go all the way to KW and only spend one night!!
