November 1st Run to Garlits Museum

Tampa Bay Roadsters will be having a Run to the Don Garlits Museum on Saturday 1 November. We will be arriving at the museum area at approximately noon and be having lunch at Zaxby's, a restaurant in the local area. We invite all other Skys and Solstices, not affiliated with Tampa Bay Roadsters, to meet us at Zaxby's at noon for lunch, or at the museum, approximately 1:00 to see a part of racing history.
We expect that some of the Jacksonville club that has expressed interest will meet us and all others are invited as well.
Come along, enjoy the fellowship of other Kappa owners and enjoy a nice day at the museum. This event will be held rain or shine.

Here is the rest of the info for the run:

Date: Saturday, Nov, 1st.

Meeting placee: Intersection of Hwy 52 and 577 {gas station and food mart}. This is north of Wesley Chapel.

Caravan departure time: 0900 SHARP.

A list of questions will be handed out prior to departure. Answers can be found along the route. Prizes will be awarded at lunch to those with the most correct answers.

Lunch will be near the museum at Xaxby's. We should arrive there before 12:00 noon.

We will then meet other Florida roadster clubs at the museum.

Cost of admission is $12.00 for adults, $10.00 for seniors {60+}.

Tour the museum at your leisure. Depart on your own.

The hunt and prizes part of this run is for TBR members only, though once again all are welcome to join us at the museum.

Ric....I will meet you and your group at Zaxby's. I could actually walk to it from my house, but I will bring DEMON along to make it easier on myself.

Actually I have never been to a "Zaxbys" but I know some guys were talking about how great it was before just never been, kinda excited to see what all the hype was about.

So YES as I said before count me in 100000%

LOL It's going to be the morning after Halloween hummmmm wonder if I will still be in my costume at that point? LOL HA HA!

Well, Zaxby's does have a good salad! Of all the places that could be built in Macclenny, we have a Starbucks and Zaxby's. go figure.

Looking forward to meeting you on November 1. The JAX group will meet in the Ocala area on November 15. Maybe you could do a back to back trip.

Hell, if they had fried chicken, I'd be running over to get some. But the best they can do is stinken chicken tenders. Yuck! Luckily, they are building a KFC right across the street, right in front of Garlets museum.

But Spunkie is right...they do have a pretty good salad.

So far we only have 2 other cars committed from TBR, not sure what's going on with the rest of them. Have received notice from a couple about prior commitments though.

Zaxby's is basicly across the street from the musuem. If you are going north on I-75, you exit at exit 341, CR 484, and keep to the right. CR 484 is a divided highway, with cut outs for left turns. The first is just after you make the turn, and you want to turn at the second left, which is pretty close also.

Rick, I'm not sure which way you and your group are coming from, but if you need any directions, feel free to ask.
