Man I haven't been on the forum in a long time. Just found out about the "won't print my dog's obituary" thread. Unbelievable. How does a thread like that even get started let alone get so many responses?

Boomer I hope you and Danielle can make it Saturday night. We haven't seen you two in a long time. You suggested Friday or Saturday night--now you're not sure? No one else has responded Where is everybody? So, we're stuck with just Steve and Mandi AGAIN? JK!!! Steve & Mandi, you know we love you guys.

Sure would be nice to see SolCandy and Pat again too. Maybe I can give Pat, Steve and Boomer some free pool lessons after dinner.

Steve, you are soooo funny. You still have not figured out that I let you win at bowling just so you'll want to play again. I suppose we will have to do the bowling thing again just so you will understand. I dont want to bowl at Concord Mills though, It's only about $900 per person per game there, after a 9 hour wait.

Yea those aren't real lanes anyway. We'll bowl some other time. Hey remember to tell Penny that we are meeting TONIGHT. Not next week, not last week, not next year. TONIGHT. I know how she has a problem with remembering things.

Man, what a fantastic time! We have really missed getting together with everyone! Soooo glad that we were able to get up to meet with ya'll, and I deeply apologize for being 30 minutes late...but hey...what can a fella' do, right?!

Diane and Hal, sorry you guys could not stick around. Using our GPS (have gps, will travel!) we found a most excellent pizza n beer pad, and from the rave reviews everyone had, we might just hit it again sometime down the road. We had a great time, and just wanted to again say thank you.

As promised, we took some embarrassing shots, and I have them up on my website. For the un-savy www users, here is a direct link:

Enjoy!

Got lost!

Boy, did I screw up. I thought we were supposed to park near D&B's, and eat at the Pizza Kitchen near entrance 1.

I cruised the crowded parking lot like a teenage, found Sky-Fox (the ONLY Sky I saw), parked there, walked thru D&B (what a place!), and hung out at the Pizza Kitchen until 6:20 or so. Saw no one! I should have carried a few cell #'s but I forgot.

Came home and had pizza with my wife! (I couldn't lose her if I tried).

Oh well, maybe I can find the Mathews Labor Day Parade without getting lost.

Bo Barry

P.S. Fill me in, where was the 'secret' party????

I had a great time with everyone again. With our wedding coming up we have been somewhat MIA. The Pizza was quite good and I'll be heading into the one on 7th st for lunch to see if it's the same on Thursday. It's called Hawthorns NY Pizza & Bar.

We had a really nice time, too. Sorry for the mix-up on the place, but according to their website, the California Pizza restaurant looks like this:

Obviously, the one in the Concord Mills Mall doesn't look anything like that! Sorry we missed you, BoBarry, and sorry you were too tired to stick around, SunnyRagtop & Hal. I didn't even know you had left! We had planned to make a night of it, so going somewhere else to eat wasn't a problem for the rest of us. We ended up outside on the patio after a short little cruise on a beautiful night. Ken said he wished we'd done our homework more about the restaurant, but we didn't really think to call and quiz them about what the place was like. Live and learn. We should arrange another get-together at Hawthorns. They had great food and weren't too busy to seat a big group at the last minute on a nice summer Saturday night.

I agree! we should pick another date to go out. Hawthorne's was really good. even the next day for lunch! I'll be at the one in downtown Charlotte Thursday or Friday to see if that location is just as good.

I wou;dn't worry too much about the cali pizza place. the photo screams "false advertising!!!!" It was a great ifea and put the pizza bug in our heads.
