Savannah Coastal Cruise (May 23-25)

Ok folks all of our plans are in place and we can now start booking our rooms.

Our group rate is $89.00 per night.

This rate is available to us for Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
There are 18 double queen rooms and 2 king rooms available.
This rate also includes a hot breakfast buffet and managers reception Friday and Saturday from 5-7pm.

For lunch we will be again going to Backus Pontiac. They will be graciously serving us.

For dinner Saturday evening we will be going to Paula Deen's, The Lady and Sons.
Our reservations are for 8:00pm.

This will be a buffet style dinner and payment is due in advance. The cost of the dinner is $26.00 per person and includes, buffet, refillable non-alcoholic beverage and gratuity. Beer, wine and liquor beverages will be served and billed individually.

Out of the 28 rooms we reserved there are only 8 rooms left. The hotel is booked solid so once they are released there will not be any rooms. These will be released on Thursday so even if you think you will be attending get your reservations made now before these are gone.

Isn't the rest of the NC group going to do something else that weekend? If I remember Mandi has set something up for that weekend, wish they would all come to this and do that weekend another time.

Current Itinerary:

Friday May 23rd:

Arrivals throughout the day.
6:00 pm begin to gather in the parking lot
6:30 pm leave hotel heading into Savannah
7:00 pm Reservations at Spankys Spanky's Pizza Galley & Saloon In Savannah, GA
After dinner head to River St. Woohoo!

Saturday May 24th:

Free breakfast available at the hotel for those who are staying there.
10:30 AM everyone begin to gather in the parking lot.
10:45 AM leave heading to Backus Pontiac
11:00 AM to 1:00PM Show at Backus. They will also be serving us lunch.
1:00 PM leave Backus heading to Bonaventure Cemetary Classic Car Tours of Savannah
Not sure how long the cemetary tour will take. The tour guide said her tour usually lasts about an hour and a half but with this size of a group she just can't be sure. We won't really know for sure what the cost will be until we have a full head count but it will not be more then $10 pp. We will also be doing a group photo here.
After the tour we can head back to the hotel to get ready for dinner.
5:30 - 6:00pm Gather in the hotel parking lot.
6:00 pm leave hotel heading to River St. We will cruise down River St. then park in the City Market Parking garage on Barnard and Congress
8:00 pm Reservations at The Lady and Sons The Lady & Sons - Paula Deen - Home Cooking, Fried Chicken, Collard Greens & Fried Green Tomatoes - Savannah, Georgia
They are very strict on arrival times and everyone in the party must be present before we can be seated. So please be ready to enter by 7:45 pm.
After dinner party on River St.

Sunday May 25th:

Departure day.
Some of us will be going for a short cruise to Hilton Head after check out. We'll decide on a time to leave when we're all together.


All of my times are not set in stone EXCEPT for our reservations at The Lady and Sons. We can always change things as we go if the group wants to. Looks like we're going to have an awesome weekend. If anyone has any comments or suggestions regarding the itinerary just let me know.

Just wanted to update everyone and let you know that the Clubhouse Inn is 100% booked for Saturday night but if anyone else has a last minute change in thier plans and wants to join us there are lots of hotels around there that still have availability. I am also still accepting reservations for dinner Saturday at Paula Deen's. So it's not to late to get in on the action.
