Very Large Regional Event for 2008.
Hosted by KY Kappas, the Peach State Kappa group and the Carolinas Kappa group. There will be a dinner, awards, door prizes and T-shirts and about 4 different runs to chose from.....
We hope that Solo can make it also to do installs again.

The Natural Bridge area is full of twisties...

Run's on Fri:

1- Tour of Natural Bridge with lunch at the lodge.....
2- Tour of the Bourbon Trail.... and yes it is 6 distilleries with Tasting.... no drinking just tasting.....no dry counties !!!

I have tried to post all details as they happen.... including the door prizes as they come in... I have asked JRinKY to plan out the Natural Bridge Tour and as for the Bourbon Run I have not gotten any-one to head that one up yet.... Any takers...?

Sat: Meet and Great in the Parking Lot with Mods Contest, (DJ services have been donated) Dinner with Awards and Door Prizes ( so far in hand I already have about 50 prizes, and it is still 1 year away my goal is that everyone will leave with something )

I hope that this meet will be a blast ! Good People, Twistie Roads, Great Cars, Bourbon, Horses .... What more can you ask for.....

The contract on the hotel has been delivered. I drove down to Lexington today and just got back to make sure that all of our requests were met. This is what we have......

1. 100 rooms in the block - in the contract I can add up to 50 more rooms if needed and the contracted rate of $85.00 per night

2. A car wash station will be provided within our own parking area.

3. They will block/rope off a provided area for us to park for the event. No workers, no-one but us. This area is right off of the Meeting Rooms.

4 We have a scheduled Meet and Greet Dinner for the first night with the Check-In & Picking up Packets starting at 5:00pm. Room Rate waived.

5. We have a scheduled Award Dinner for the 23rd. Room rate waived

6. All rooms have FREE wireless high-speed internet service

7. Vendors will be able to set up inside on Sat right outside of the Meeting Room and which is also right at our parking area.......

8. The Hotel will also be helping by contacting the Media.


You can make your Reservations after Sept 10th, identify yourselves as being with the :

I have not sent the contract back yet so do not try to book your room.... I will post as soon as the book of rooms is open.

We have decided to use the "Susan G. Koman Foundation" for our charity.

Plans are being made for a Poker Run, Runs to Natural Bridge & The Bourbon Trail. We are also looking at a Mod Scamble for Sat and lots of raffels and maybe even some silent auctions.

I have updated the Attendance list and we are up to 49 cars..... Please talk this up to everyone you know... the more we have in attendance the better door prizes and the better speaker....

This event is for everyone.... I am planning a Mod Scramble for both Skys and the Sols with seperate awards for each division and a 1 grand award for the Viewers Choice. The 2 top cars will go againist eachother to be voted on by everyone in attendance......

We are planning also a Poker Run and all kinds of different things.

I cant wait.... this is gona be great.....

Please let me, jrsno1fan, jrarant, SolsticeWolf know if there is anything special you want to see happen at this meet. Any comments or suggestions are always welcome. This is the breakdown as of now. Everything can always change due to schedules but as of now:

KYGXP: I am doing the leg work, Hotel, Packets, Name tags, PreRuns, so on and so on.....need I continue
jrsno1fan: is helping with the Logo, T-shirts, Rally towels
jrarant, SouthernSkys: are helping with the Sponsors and Vendors

Meatballs with Sweet & Sour Sauce, Stuffed Jalapenos, Broccoli Poppers, Chesse Sticks, Mini Pizzas

Award Dinner : August 23rd : 5-9pm

Old Kentucky Buffet

Mustard Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, Garden Salad, Barbecued Ribs, Hand Breaded Fried Chicken, Cornmeal Dusted Catfish, Mashed Potatoes with Pan Gravy, Corn Pudding, Country Green Beans, Skillet Cornbread & Rolls, Assorted Desserts, Coffee, Decaf and Iced Tea

Come on guys! Lets get this party started! We have about 50 cars signed up, but our goal is to have at least 100. I know that this seems like a long ways off, but a year flies by. We are going to have some great prizes and auction items. Lexington is a beautiful place and the Bourbon Run and Natral Bridge should be great.
