I woke up on a nice spring day. Jumped into my clothes and headed out the door with the coffee, the O2 bottles, and the keys. Standing on the back deck of the homestead I could see the robin and the cardinal fighting over the area to build the nest in the bush to the right of the house. I watched Charlie chase Alpha and Beta around the back yard. Dang treerats love to chase each other. Up under the bush comes Mo and Bugsy, two wrasckly wabbits who eat anything and everything that I might grow. Well flip the button and the afbuts salute the sun just peeping over the mountain in the east. The sunlite just just evaporating the dark shadows in the valley. Put the top into the trunk and close the lid. Open the car door and move the seat back forward and get my Sky cap out of the mesh holder behind the seat. Flip the seat back and sit down and swing into the comfortable leather. Open the cup holder on the passenger side and insert the coffee bottle into it. Put the extra O2 bottle on the passenger seat floorboard and reach in to the glove box and pull the CD out. Lay the CD up against the shifter and fasten the seat belt. Move the Saturn shoulder pad into the neck area and feel the pad caress my cheek. Lay my O2 bottle in the passenger seat and close the door. Put the key into the ignition and fire the bad boy up. The exhaust rumbles in the still air and life is good. Take the CD out and insert into the Monsoon system. It says loading. As I look around the transition lenses on my nose are totally dark. The shades are total. The cap is on backwards to protect the redneck. The noise level is coming up. In a godda da vida is starting at all out DBs. Gotta love Iron Butterfly in the morning. I back the Sky out of the backyard and pull thru the privacy fence. At the end of the driveway I turn right. Slowly I gain speed and shift to second gear. Mellowed out in second I lope down the street. The sun has cleared the mountain and is lighting up the Midnite Blue color on the SkipSky. The music is saying In-a-godda-da-vida-baby don't you know that I love you. In-a-godda-da-vida-baby don't you know that I will always be true....Yes It is a spring day in Bama. And I love every minute of it....I just thought that everyone who wishes for spring to come would like to go on this dream ride with me...It is just around the corner and we will all be driving to our own tunes and times....Skip....

We are at the warm then cold transition here in Okie land. I heard that yesterday afternoon it was suppose to make it up to that 68+ degree heat wave. What they forgot to tell us the night before is slight chance of drizzle first thing in the morning. So I walk across to the second garage no drips ground is dry still not quite daylight. Start up my Skybaby purrs like a kitten she is alone in the garage for hubby has taken Pumpkin the corvette this morning. I pull out of the garage WHAT is that hitting the windshield dang now I have to make that executive decision, go ahead and drive to work hopping for a top down drive home but yuck rain all over the car getting to work or just back her back into the garage, take the Impala. Car will not melt its not raining just drizzle I am taking my Skybaby to work!
So its does warm up Wahoo, leave work and the sun is shinning the temperature gage says 70 degrees, top down and MP3 playing my tunes All the way home, this is way things are suppose to be. But the cold front is moving through as I head home, talk about windy good thing the Sky is low to the ground, look at the SUV sway, dang. Burr is it me or is it getting colder dang the temperature gage now says 59 degrees and when I left work it was 70. Welcome to Oklahoma and the great shift in weather. Remind me not to complain when its 105 in July and you can fry an egg on the sidewalk. High today of only 50 degrees it was big coat weather this morning, 17 degree wind chill. Counting the days till its always above freezing really spring!

Spring is coming March 21st. Correct me iffen I am wrong....And D2 I love that drum solo and the screaming guiter and the organ. In-a-godda-da-vida-baby.....on a side note. When I was putting together my now very bad drooping home entertainment center, I was listening to the long version of Iron Butterfly playing the song. At the very end of the song my amplifier went up in flames. Heck the amp was about 25 years old and could not handle the wattage that I wanted at 3:00 in the morning. If was a fit ending to an old amp....Skip...

Great! Just when we are getting hit AGAIN in the midwest. Snow hasn't melted from my yard since late December....

I am in Vegas right now, and go back home to the cold in Michigan on Thursday...

I can't wait for spring to arrive... To finally uncover my SKY and let it ROAR (all the way to get the oil changed), then put a few hundred miles on her that first day out....

That'll get me charged up for the road trip to Vegas in April (I hope), and to T2TRII the next weekend...

I had "Rubberneckin" blasting when I took the car out on Sunday. Top down on I-39 of course! The temp was a balmy 38, but the sun was shining and I really didn't care!!

Spring is a coming. Despite the nice snow that is back on the ground and blowing around today.

I picked Saffy up from her pinstripping job - dropped her top and pulled out to the notes of Bon Jovi's Summertime.

And Skip darlin', I will post pics of her as soon as my daughter gets home from work - she has my camera in her car.

As yall can tell at the post time that I was up most of the night. Bad storms with lightening. But while sitting on the side of my bed I had this vision that I put to the written word. I figured with yall yankees not having a nice day that my word would instill a daydream or two....Skip... And yes I have that many animals in my backyard. I guess it is cause I give them wheat bread heels....

Look on the bright side, as it gets colder it kills that many more bugs and then Spring comes around and the bugs will not be as plentiful....Skip....

"Rocket Man" by Elton John. Nothing quite like it. Sky 07 (T), you need to get away from all that nasty stuff, and head south. It's already spring down here, we had our winter day a few weeks ago.

Skip, my man, thanks for posting your dreams for the yanks. After all, bunches of us Florida folk are yanks at heart. If we knew way back when, that the weather was so great down here, we would have given up after the first battle. Damn that Sherman, he lied to us all.
