Taking our Solstices and Skys for some shopping and wine tasting!

Plans: We will use the Yorktown Victory Center parking lot (Rt. 1020 & Colonial Pwy) as a marshaling area – about twenty miles to Williamsburg with at least one pull off large enough for 20-30 cars overlooking the USN terminal on the York. We will spend our time shopping in Williamsburg with lunch and wine tasting at the Williamsburg Winery.

Jamestown, Williamsburg, and Yorktown form “Virginia’s Historic Triangle,” all linked by the scenic Colonial Parkway and are easily reached via interstates 95 and 64 and U.S. Route 17. The Colonial Parkway, a 23-mile scenic three-lane highway, connects Yorktown Battlefield, Colonial Williamsburg and Historic Jamestowne. The Parkway starts at the Yorktown Battlefield Visitor Center parking, heads west following the York River to Williamsburg, turns south to follow the James River, and ends up in the Historic Jamestowne Visitor Center parking lot.

Anyone that wants to join us. We will be leaving friday morning (the 13th) to meet at the Cracker Barrel off HWY95 in Frederickburg Virginia. We will be there for breakfast at 10:00 and leaving around 11:00 to drive down RT17 to Williamsburg.

We know the weather will not be the best this weekend in Williamsburg but we have decided to go anyway. We understand if anyone wants to cancel out. I haven't heard of any of the wineries flooding out yet. We will be leaving tomorrow morning and driving down HWY17.
