NEO SOS "Local run" 03-29-08

I have received a few PM's asking me if there will be a NEO SOS for the third year.

I am pleased to say "YES"

But due to the vagaries of the climate in Ohio in March it is not being hyped.
It will be treated as a warm-up run for the T2TR-III on May 2-3 weekend.

The route is totally revamped...but here it is...

03-29-08 12 noon to 4 ish (westher permitting)

Meet at the McDonald's at Newcomerstown (I-77 Exit 65...west 1/4 mile to the light...turn left into McD's) at 11 a.m. for registration and instructions.

12 Noon depart .
Follow SR258 East under I77 and over to Peoli..and into WestChester...take SR342 to Freeport....then SR800 north about a mile to SR 799...take SR799 to SR21 to Deersville...then SR 2 East out to SR250.
Take SR250 N about 1 mile to SR646 EAST...into and through SCIO.

Follow SR646 East until it joins SR9 just N of Germano....this is a portion of the original SOS.
Take 9 North to Kilgore..where we pick up SR 164....
Follow 164 up to Salineville then East on SR 39 to Wellesville.
Pick up 7 South (this is part of the old SOS too) to SR152...

Follow SR 152 South as before down to US22...then West on US22 to Cadiz....where we pick up SR9 North again. Take SR9 North till it hooks up with SR151 just before Jewett...then west on SR151 into SCIO where we pick up SR646 again and reverse the initial leg back to Newcomerstown.

Start to finish about 4 hrs.

First pee break is at Wellsville ...but it's about 90 minutes into the run.
Second break is at the McD's in Cadiz...about 45 minutes later.
We have a gas station in SCIO...but it has no facilities
Remember...this route is totally rural and there are very few towns big enough to support fast food restaurants so be advised NOT to have much to drink that morning.

Those that wish to stay for an early dinner...the Ravens Glen winery is 6 miles west on SR36 and has excellent food. You may buy a bottle of wine at the front and drink it at your table

This thread is now open to questions.

It would be appreciated if the mods would STICKY this !!

Bump Up the Thread!

Just playing Acting Sol Commander and giving The Great Sol Commaner's threads a bump while he's out of the country.

Don't know a ton about SOS, but I have the location of SC's beach chair and can get a message sent to the chair if need be!!
