Pretty sure we're going. Just have to dodge some flooded roads!!!

Meet at the usual spot - "R" Place in Morris (I-80 & Route 47)

Correct meeting is scheduled for Sunday the 21st at 11:00 AM at "R" place in Morris(this is the truck stop on the north-east corner of Rt71 & I-80)

Right now the reports are that Morris will be completely below flood stage by Sunday, also they are now reporting the Rt178 bridge by Starved Rock is open They also are reporting the bridge on Rt89 is now open also, the approach on this bridge is probaly only about five feet higher than the Rt71 approach to starved rock so there is agood chance Rt71 will be open also. (I will try and run the Rt71 river section Friday night, and will report my results)

The weather is reporting sunny and 78 degrees so we will be making this run no matter what, the only concern right now is that we may have to by-pass a couple roads, but even in the worst case we should be able to run the twisties inside starved rock even if we have to start from the west and turn around at the eastern entrance to the park and retrace our way back through the park.

It is positively a go for Sunday, if you plan on making the run let me know and I will add you to the confirmed list.

Also anyone making the run, we will be setting the radios to 0-1 band, and I'll bring one extra radio.

If I can get Brian to drive ... we will be there.. but he is trying to finish his plane... it was done and then he decided to enclose behind the cockpit also.. so it is back in the barn and that is where he has been when he isnt in here checking on me... UGH.... LOL... SkyBaby

Try and talk him in to it, you guys don't want to miss the very first starved rock run that actually makes it through the twisties inside the park....

I will ask him when he comes in... I am just not sure I can sit in the car that long.... and get jolted...LOL.... specially in a VUE.... LOL way funny.... SkyBaby

If you feel you might have a problem sitting for that long, think before joining in the run, your health is more important than a afternoon in the country.

We are having lunch at Cajun Connection on Rt6, they are located just east of Rt178 (maybe 8 miles east of I39 on Rt6)
