My hubby and I will be in Southern Illinois for my 20 year HS reunion that weekend, so if the weather holds, you may have a Yellow Redline from the Chicago area joining you. It would make for a looong day of driving on Sunday since we both have to be back up here for work on Monday morning, but if the weather works out, I'd love to see the colors along that route.

You can check out the place on their website. I think a link in an earlier post here somewhere. They have room for as many as we can get together.

Brian, I think I have a way to hit the photo op spot figured out near the end of the route, If the color makes it worth it.

I took a drive today to make sure the route is all clear. It's good to go. The fall colors are not near their peak yet, but it's still a nice drive. There is some yellow and orange, but green is still the dominant color just about everywhere. I got a bit of a speed fix today, so sunday I'll be able to keep a more leisurely pace. I also stopped by the restaurant to remind them that we're coming.

The weather is still looking great.

Just 3 more days.
