Sorry, I got sidetracked this morning! Heck...we don't even have a definite weekend.

Rick, you said the 1st weekend is crappy for you right? How about the 2nd weekend? Which day is better - Sat or Sunday??

Bringing the R2TR II (Return to the Rock II) List forward!!!!

Similar run to last year - Start in Morris off of I-80 and RT 47 at R Place. (For those coming from the Chicagoland area, Rick Tinley Park found some fun back roads for the ride down! )
This year Route 71 should be open for the 6 miles between Ottawa and Starved Rock. Good twisty action!!!! About the only good twisty action in North Central IL!!! (yeah I know it's only 6 miles but they are fun ones!)
Lunch either at Starved Rock, The Marina, or in Utica. Haven't decided yet!
Possible Cookie Tour for those who missed it last year!

Actually I have no problem with any weekend in June -- its July that gets dicey. Sat or Sun is fine too! (Aint I easy to get along with? )

My vote is either 7-8..... Should be even warmer...

7 or 8 works fine for me. I think we did it the 1st last year. Provided no one has any serious graduation issues with that weekend, sounds good to me.

We could pre-run again for fun.

that saturday is our wedding anniverery (33 yrs) good way to spend the day. with friends.

Just wondering if the weekend has been picked for this one. Keith and I would be good for the 7th or 8th as well. We have a different club event the following weekend; and Tale of the Dragon on the last weekend of Jun, so I just wanted to get stuff on our calendar.

yes i think we did come down to bloomington the weekend of our anniversary, i think it was the first time we came down there to see what it was like before we came down in september.

I'm tentatively thinking June 7th. I've had a few people say that's bad, I've had a few people prefer the 7th.

If I get a majority who would rather do the 8th I'll switch it, but the 7th works better for a cookie tour.

Let me know if you head down this direction. I can get you a tour, but I'll have to ask first as a courtesy. Then you can come down any time you'd like!

I need to talk to The Tall Man to get the cookie tour approved as I have not official asked him yet. He'll say yes, but I do like to formally ask so he knows what is going on.

Just a heads up on the Cookie tour...no sandals, open toed shoes, etc. So please bring an extra pair of shoes if you're wearing sandals! Otherwise I'll have to improvise with hair nets and that's really not the best solution...especially if something were to fall on your foot or if you were to accidentally catch your foot on a piece of equipment. No watches and jewelery when we go out into the plant. Plain wedding bands are acceptable...no stones. If you can't remove your ring, we can cover it with a band-aid or tape. Yes, you will have to wear a hair net!

A Supervisor gave me a bad time last year about guys wearing shorts and not having shaved legs. I figured since it was just a tour I wouldn't get harrassed about it. I'll double check on that. I don't want the guys to have to bring a pair of pants just for the occasion.

I'll post a list of appropriate plant attire prior to the tour and in plenty of time this year so people can prepare accordingly!
