Exclamation 2009 WCKCC Calendars

I was wondering if anyone would be interested in a Kappa calendar. I thought it would be a great way to show off our cars on a daily basis Here is what I thought I could do, what I would like to have are pictures from the various car runs that the clubs put on during the year, I am including an example. People can submit a single photo or a collage of photos representing the run, it would need to be 11 wide by 8.5 high. We could sell them for a small profit and have the proceeds go to our club funds and maybe even donate part of the proceeds to an organization like MADD. I thought we could have people submit photos and people could vote for their favorites on the forum, the top 13 would make the calendar. The biggest vote getter could make up the cover and then the next 12 for the months. So let me know if anyone would be interested. Barb
P.S. Would 20.00 be okay?

Barb I think this is a great idea>>>But would like to know, like all of us in the family that have hundreds and hundreds of photos. I have most of mine uploaded to Photo bucket so every one can see... And if we send you pictures how many is too many??? Maybe some guide lines would help.. Just an idea... Let us know... Didn't want to drive you nuts with all of the photos...
Gary

Calendar

Gary, I think if you want to send 4 pictures of one event I could put them into a collage format like shown and title it with whichever event it was. I am hoping that it will have a more uniform look that way. Barb

calendar idea

I like this idea and think that $20 is well worth it. Depending on the charity we pick we would even go higher. I agree with the photo limit - otherwise all you'd be doing is sorting pix.

I'll get to work on gathering @ four of my very best shots and I'll have them ready. You might want to enlist some help (me?) since this can become a huge task.

question

Yes I know that this is for a WCKCC calendar but should we limit the pictures to only WCKCC events . . .

OR

. . . a collection of Kappa shots.? We could still incorporate them into a collage.

Just a thought (and a rare event!) - whew, I need to go lay down, I'm dizzy

We could have it open to all groups. You will need to gather your 4 best shots from one event. I am open for all help and ideas on this. Let Niles know that I have a spare room if she needs to take a nap while we are being creative

This is GREAT!

I tried to produce a club calendar last year but I did not follow through. Barbara offered her expertise some months ago to create a much better calendar than I ever could. The WCKCC BOD has a conference call tomorrow night to discuss the calendar along with numerous other club related items.

The WCKCC intends to make ZERO profit. This is NOT a fund raising calendar for the club but would be an "at cost" member benefit with a portion going to a worthy charity.

Barb, (as always) is going out of her way and spending tons of her time on our behalf. I am constantly impressed by our members. You are all such kind and generous people, it makes me proud to be asscosiated with you.

The club will support this effort the best we can. I am sure our resident genious, (Vincent / Crimson Avenger) will figure out how to create a PayPal system as he has done for our membership renewal.
Speaking of RENEWAL, have you renewed yet? There are costs associated with a car club. We try to provide member benefits in the way of insurance, discounted event fees, BBQs, give aways, and who knows, maybe a free calendar some day soon.

WCKCC - ROCK ON!

Wow,
Great work.

I can't wait for the full calendar. These proofs are really good.
Remember, you have the creative license do do what you want with the variety of pictures we send you.

The other batch of pics I sent were from one of our very first meets in the Ventura/Santa Barbara/Lompoc area in early 2006. That's why there are not any Skys in the pictures.

Maybe somewhere in the calendar there could be a bunch of group shots from various events.

Hey Gary, Do you have the photos from the Red Rock Run on your computer before resizing them? They did not come across from your photobucket very good. Let me know. Barb
