Freds Retirement Run [Saturday May 17, Auburn, Northern Cal, NE of Sacramento]

OK Guys and Gals of my Kappa family.
I'm starting to plan my RETIREMENT RUN in May thru the foothills in and around Auburn and I'm looking for input on what date would be best for most of us. The 11th is Mother's Day so that day is definitely out. Right now I'm thinking of the 17th or 18th. If we did it on the 17th which is Armed Forces Day for those who wanted to we could affix a small American Flag to our antennas to celebrate. Just a thought.

Sat. 17th is the 3rd Sat. of May so that fits well.

Is anyone in a parade or are we all to OLD for that. ---> Armed Forces Day

Fred, what did you retire from?

"O" & Congratulations on your retirement, Fred.

Jack, I don't think any of us are to old to be in a parade. In fact if we all put flags on our antenna we will form our own parade.

After 23 years of delivering the US Mail I called it quites. Time to let the younger guys to take over.

I want to thank everyone for there congratulations on my retirement. Now I have nothing to do but drive my SKY with my extended KAPPA family.

Retirement Run

Add KJSKY to the list unless the Sharks are still playing and we have a game that day. We wouldn't miss another run.

OK KJSKY I've added you to the list. Hope the Sharks playoff games to not interfere with the run.

Congratulations Fred!

The WCKCC is suppose to have our Yosemite run May 3rd. I am not sure if you want to have your retirement run in Yosemite instead. If so, we could move the Yosemite date to the 17th or you might consider changing your date to the 3rd. We could change our venue from Yosemite to the Auburn area. We do not want to hijack your meet, steal your thunder or rain on your parade. I just think that most of the same people will be attending. If we have both runs so close to each other, people might choose one or the other but not both.
I was just about to create a new thread announcing Yosemite. I will wait for your decision before I do anything. It will be YOUR day, the WCKCC will be in the back ground and lend support.

Pete,

I don't really mind being bumped from the number 6 position, but completely removed sort of hurts.

I will still be there Fred, prolly some where out back...but I'll be there. Am I the little blue sheep of the family? (hmmm not really much machismo to that last question).

Oh now Fred, you should know by now not to take anything I whine about seriously.

Besides....when have I had an oportunity to needle Pete before? And along that same line of thought....I never said I was particularly bright either.
