First off I would like to thank Sal for authorizing this run as an official WCKCC run.

If you are not a member you are invited to join us for a fun day of driving our Kappas and enjoying the friendship of some of the greatest people around.

I am a little slow on updating this list.

We can add two more for the 17th

Name.............................................. ...........................................Car

1...fkeillor...................................... .Fred & Jane............................Sky
2...sky4J&J....................................Jac k & Jill................................Sky
3...ebonysky..................................Bill & Patricia............................Sky
4...gothunda..................................Ed & Barb.................................Sky
5...KJSKY......................................Ken & Judy................................Sky

7...Bigdog.....................................Pet e & Niles................................Sky
8...SXYSKY...................................Sonia .........................................Sky
9...LeChief.....................................Da ve & Phyllis.............................Sky

Jane and I made a pre run today. I am going to try a showcase some of the roads around Auburn that I can jump on in about 5 minutes whenever I need a quick fix of twisties.

I would like to meet at 0930 on the 17th of May. We will try to leave around 1000 from,

Brookfield's Restraunt
1817 Taylor Rd
Roseville, Ca 95661

Here are couple if pic I took today. We ran into(but didn't hurt anyone) a group with classic T-Birds at the Empire Ranch Gold Mine. They were in Grass Valley for the Roman Angles car shoe this week end. Might go back tomorrow to check out the oldies.

ROGER THAT! We are looking forward to seeing everyone.

Fred, are we driving twinties or twisties? Because if it's twinties I have to change my tire pressure and shock set up!

Bill, don't worry about the tire pressure. We will be doing twisties. The twinies were to hard on the suspension.

Added a couple of pic to my previous post.

Can't Wait

Fred this will be fun!

Just saw Nevada City for the first time this weekend and what a charming little town. Is it on our "run"? I also went around Lake Wildwood - wow...love that area too!

Sonia, we drove thru Nevada City on our pre run. If you remember it is a quaint little town. However it is hard to drive thru. Narrow streets, no parking(we couldn't stop), at least for all of us at one spot. So I thought it might not be a good idea to go there. Grass Valley is not as bad but still a hard place to get thru all togeather. Also as you stated in your email there is a Rodeo in the neck of the woods that weekend.

We have been thinking of making a stop at the Empire Mine State Park in Grass Valley. Haven't decided yet.

We did find a spot for lunch with great views, not the BIG but. The food was not very good and not a large selection. See below to the view from the open air dinning area.

We did find a good place in Colfax called TJ's Roadhouse, with a large selection and decent prices. The owner might even be able to reserve some parking places for us. See Menu below.

The big problem I'm having planing this run is that there are very few places for us to have photo opportunities. Will keep looking.

One other thing. My brother and sister in law have listened to our stories about our runs and have shown a desire to attend one. So if is OK I have invited them to come along. I'm assuming everyone's OK with this. The will fit in as the drive an Mercedes SLK Roadster. Also Ken and Judy son lives here in Auburn and would like to tag along in his PT. I say the more the merrier.

Fred...first off, this is your run! So you can invite whomever you wish.

Secondly, in my time with the club, I have never seen any one turned away from attending a meet (even if they are driving an SLK Roadster or PT). The interest in being there is all that counts!

Mike

Agree with above post

I agree with Mike, tag along's are OK.

I may have one tag along...a 2006 Miata on our Napa Valley run. I need to hit that magic number of 20 people by May 20 to satisfy Safari West's "group" requirement! So, if you know anyone who would be interested in that run, tell them about it and get them signed up before the deadline.

Ditto with the above by Mike/Bill & Patricia. Just need to be sure that everyone who isn't a member signs the WCKCC Release.

Bill, as for Safari West, I will have another person with me and I have invited some non-sol/sky owners...to help get the numbers up

I was asked if they could join us on our "run" and I said, are you kidding...of course NOT - just show up at Safari West Will know in the next week or two if they are going to join us (truth be told one of the families lives in Santa Rosa)!

Checking to see if we have any add on for the 17th.

Looks like eleven cars if KJSKY's son can make it.

While you guy were in Yosemite Jane and I checked out another area to go. Planing a run is not as easy as everyone else has made it look. Where to stop for rest stops? Where to have lunch? and don't forget the photo ops? And of course you have to have some twisties. Hopefully I have everything in place by next week so I can give you an idea of where we are going.

Hope you can make it Jack. But if not will understand. Life does have a way of getting in the way of us having fun with our Kappas.

Sorry you won't be able to make the run. You will be missed. I hope the reason for not making it, is to be doing something that is more fun then d your Sky. See you on the next one.
