July 26-27 WCKCC run to the North Coast [California]
Sonia has put this in our laps so we will go with it.
The thought is to meet in Ukiah on Sat. the 26th around 9:30. drive north on Hwy 101 through the lovely town of Willits and head over Hwy 20 to Fort Bragg. This is a nice twisty mountain road. There we will have a lovely fish and chip lunch at the brewing company.(Remember if you buy beer, you have to save it for later). After lunch we will drive down the coast and stop in the town of Mendocino, old quaint town, now a tourist stop with SHOPPING. Get back on the road and head down to Hwy 128 and head back to the Ukiah valley and your hotel.
We have a brand new Comfort Inn, they said they could get us rooms for $84.00 a night and that includes breakfast (eggs and waffles). Address is 1220 airport park blvd. 707-462-3442. mention the West Coast Kappa car club to make sure you get the group rate.
Once you are checked in, We will meet again and you will be given a wonderfull tour of the booming metropolis of Potter Valley where Grant will be busy at the BBQ. with Chicken and tri-tip alomg with corn on the cobb, potatoe salad, and fresh watermelon.
So come hang out in our neck of the woods for a day. We will feed you well and show you some beautifull countryside.
Sunday is up for grabs but since the majority will be headed back towards sac. Hwy 20 to Hwy 16 (Rumsey cut off), and do brunch at the cache creek casino. This road has a nice view of Clearlake and then some nice curves. makes a great drive. then a quick hop to I-5

Grant & Maria, I said make it happen and you did. But,
I think you need to change Cash Creek Casino to Robinson Rancheria Resort & Casino. There is no way I'm driving to Cash Creek for Brunch! A drive to Clear Lake for Sunday Brunch sounds good to us. We would take Hwy 29 home from there, which is a good way for the East Bay members to go too.
We have made reservations for Friday and Saturday at the Comfort Inn. Great rate, spoke to Tory...no problems. We are looking forward to this run.
Thank you for hosting the Kappa Family at your FlyingZ ranch....this will be fun.

Ed and I will be there as well. We most likely won't get in until 10:00 ish on Friday night. Looks like about 200 miles from home about 3.5 hours. So we will see everyone on Saturday morning.
Phyliis and I will be back from Hawaii with plenty of time to re-Californiazise ourselves for this one.
Count us in for both days -come in Friday Night (about the same time as Ed and Barb) and see everyone bright an early Saturday morning.
Phyllis was just talking about wanting to do a run in the Redwoods.

This sounds like a really great run, but I am afraid Irene and I aren't going to be able to make it. Drive safe....and could some one keep an eye on Sonia....I would say more, but do I really need to?
Grant and Maria, thank you for stepping up and offering to put this run and the BBQ together! I am bummed we won't be there.
We're in - just made reservation at Comfort Inn. Looking forward to seeing WCKCC folks again. I mean, it's been what, three weeks or so?
Yeah Pete, Check your caller id the weeks prior to the run, if it is your other family calling don't answer!! Let them know your family has expanded and that we need some quality Big Dog time too!! Barb

Nothing like Mother Nature's air conditioning my Grandma used to say.
What did you discover for our run? How many miles?
