Wow! Great turn out and run! Thanks to everyone that participated in the planning and attended the event. We had 10 cars and some of the nicest people you could find!

Hi dechief. Jane and I had a great time. Meet some great people. Came for all over NorCal. The run up 121 and down into Wooden Valley had a lot of great twistie turnies. These Kappa took them like they were on rails. Looking forward to the March run thru Feather River canyon.

More pics of a great group of Kappa's, 4 Base Solstice's, 3 Sky's, 2 GXP's and 1 Redline, 10 cars in all. First three across the streed from the dealership and the last two at Monticello Dam. Had a group of bikers flock us as soon as we drove in. All wanted to know what are these? Saturns, Pontiac NO WAY. It was fun showing off. Even had aVett slow down to take a look as it went by.

The first 2 pics of from "GunnysGXP" solstice. He painted all the covers under the hood using a hi temp. paint. The pics don't do it justice, it looked much better in person.

The guy in the grey shirt is my 92 year old dad. This was his first ever road event and he had a ball! He thought everyone was so friendly and easy to talk to.

Very sorry we weren't able to make it for the run. That's a fine group of Kappa's! I did have Sunday available and took the wife through Hornitos and up over 49, through Coulterville and back down just below Sonora.
Next time we'll just have to plan a little better, no accounting for timing.

My daughter had a dance competition that day so there was just no way I could join you. Sounds like a lot of fun. Next month I'll be prepared. I just picked up my RL today!!

Talked with dechief at the Saturdays run and the possible run for March might be a run thru the Feather River Area. Its still in the planing stages. Waiting to here from dechief.

The March run and dinner is in the works! The plan is to meet in Lodi at Plummer Pontiac, 1333 East Kettleman Ln. at 2:00 PM. ( http://www.plummerinlodi.com/en_US/ ) The dealership is just East of Highway 99 on Kettleman on the North side of the street. We will depart at 2:30 for a run up to Daffodil Hill ( [url http://www.amadorcountychamber.com/Daffodil%20Hill.htm[/url] ) This is the opening day for Daffodil hill so we don't know what to expect for traffic or parking but we will make the best of it. The start time is earlier due to the daylight saving time change and will go back later as the days get longer. We will then return to Lodi for dinner at a location to be determined. We will be doing a final route check this weekend but put this on your dance card for the 17th.

I checked out the routes to Daffodil Hill for the March Northern California monthly dinner on the 17th and have located a wonderful mix of twists, turns and beautiful scenery to satisfy anyone. This is the perfect time to see the awesome beauty of the western slope of the Sierras. The route is approximately 2 hours up and one hour back so if we budget an hour for a photo opportunity and time at Daffodil Hill the schedule looks as follows:

Meet at Plummer Pontiac at 2:00 PM
Leave for the run at 2:30 PM
Arrive at Daffodil Hill 4:30 PM
Depart Daffodil Hill 5:30 PM
Arrive at Restaurant 6:30 PM
Dinner seating 6:45 PM

I realize this is a bit long, but it was tough to try and cut much out because it looks so good!

The dinner will be at Applebees restaurant at 2442 W. Kettleman Lane, Kettleman is also Highway 12 for those coming in from the West.

To get to Plummer Pontiac at 1333 E. Kettleman Lane from Hwy 99 exit on Kettleman Lane / Hwy 12 exit and go east approximately .5 mile. From I-5 exit on Hwy 12 and head East and it becomes Kettleman Lane.

If you can not enjoy the run then we look forward to seeing you at the Restaurant for dinner.

Please let us know if you can make it so we can let the restaurant know in advance how many to expect.

I just discovered that Daffodil Hill has changed their hours this year, and they close at 4 PM! I hope this does not put a kink in the turnout as this is a beautiful run! We would arrive there at a few minutes after 4 at the earliest so that means we may have to look through the fence at the daffodils! Sheesh, I have to take the hit for this one and I hope it works for everyone.
