After reading through it again I think I caught what you mean. I changed the wording on the running it again on the 16th or 17th to be more specific. I see how the word again can be missleading.

Was that what you were referring to?

Hey guys! I had originally started this thread in hopes it would eventually be self sustaining, meaning members would join in and suggest/organize dinners in their areas. As you can see two things have happened. 1. I have been unable to continue organizing dinners each month and may not be able to in the for see able future. 2. No one else has really stepped up to take my place.

So please:

Feel free to use this thread to promote/organize/inquire about dinners associated with the ownership of a Solstice or Sky. Dechief and I had a lot of fun putting them together and it would be ashame for them to stop due to lack of interest.

I can't go without mentioning a thanks to both SoSly and Gunny'sGXP. They both put on dinner runs of their own.

Chance

I'm in San Ramon, give me an idea of what dinners where in the passed ,
$ amounts, length of ride , time of day , day of ride , Etc.. &
I'll jump in and get one going. in Oct.

I've done several, for the 350Z'z forum, some 70 to 80 miles , some 175+ miles , one 350miles with over nights , one meet that had over 106 350Z'z and a total of 173 cars.

Jill & I have a Sky now & will jump in and help get this Forum going well.

does anyone have a way to notify new Sky Sol. Owners about use . We had a guy that called on the Dealers and We put a paper to help Sales people to use the forum to show a family of Z'z (Sky's) as part of why people buy Sky's Sol's.

Jack,

Thomas DID put on a GREAT run! It is pretty open as to what you would like to do. We have had our best results when the drive isn't too long and the restaurant isn't very expensive, but on the other hand, success isn't necessarily judged by the amount of cars attending. I have really enjoyed some runs where we only had 3 or 4 cars. My point being, share something you would enjoy doing and see what happens. Nothing is set in stone here and you can always change things on the fly.

Lunch is ok too

Oct. 21 is the Yosemite run. [Your invited]. The first weekend in Oct. is the only free one for us . Barb is from Danville and I'm from San Ramon [that was years ago] we now live in Valley Springs. Thanks for picking up the ball on the monthly dinner. Barb has her hands full with the Yosemite run. Thanks ED [Go Thunda]

Just wanted to add my 2 cents here. Our preference is Saturdays rather than Sundays for one day events (a chance to recover - the co-pilot, and a chance to clean & shine our joy - the pilot). #2, or Half day (either day)events with a lunch. I am working on some ideas and as they iron out I will mention to our group, possibly for next year.

Lunch Idea

Hi, I was mulling over the whole monthly dinner/lunch for the car club. So I thought I would check into maybe having one around my area of the gold country. So Ed & I got in our favorite car these days and took a drive (with cameras) We thought we could start out in Mokelumne Hill and end up in Sutter Creek or Amador City. Here is a google map for you.
http://maps.google.com/maps?f=d&hl=e...UTF8&z=13&om=0

I spoke to the people at Teresa's Place and they would be willing to open the place 2 hours early for our lunch (they normally open at 2 on weekends) for our club. We have always had good meals here. http://search.cityguide.aol.com/sacr...ce/v-101298135
The owner will choose 3 menu items for us to choose from. That way the bill can be divided equally per person.
I am also including a clip of the route for you to preview and let me know what you think.

Let me know if anyone would be interested in having lunch and if so when is a good time to plan it. Barb

Barb/Ed...thanks, but Yosemite will be my last run for the year - spine surgery scheduled for November 2nd...after that I understand it will be 6-8 weeks rest for me.

Please take lots of pics and post - I'll be living vicariously thru everyone (and having serious SGS withdrawals I am sure)!

See you this Sunday
Sonia
