I grew up in Danville, and could hike out my backyard up into Mt. Diablo park...I have yet to cruise my old home town, much less head to the top of Mt. D. We're in for this one. Paul and Tracie.

Man I might just have to plan another Mt Diablo lunch run. Because this one was last year!

Just admit it is fate Barb.....and plan a run this year. Looks like we have a few takers already.

Besides, we haven't seen Paul and Tracie in quite a while....wasn't it the run down in Sal's neck of the woods? Any way, nice to see you on the forum again.

Would like to know how many people would like to make this a go...
I think either date would work but less vote.. March 21st or March 28th...
Let me know as soon as you can, say by March 8th...

Hockey and lots of us are going

for the Hockey Game. Unless the run is over early enough for us to get to Stockton for the "Dropping of the Puck"

Same here Gary....I have 5 of us going to the March 21 hockey game. March 28th may not work either. Patricia didn't like the road up & down the mountain.

Gary,I think you better check those hockey ticket of yours. See if they say March 21 on them? Because that is the hockey make up day for Feb 7 game. Most of the club is going to round two of hockey. The game starts at 7.30 pm. Do we have a run for April? Since the Napa run is this month. Ed Go Thunda]

OK I know we have hockey on the 28th and the 21st..In fact I think we have hockey all the way until 2011.. But here is my though...

If we could get going say about 9:30am meet for Breakfast and start the run, end about 2:30 pm head to Stockton have Dinner and Hockey...

What do you think????

I have updated this thread to reflect a run up Mt Diablo for this year on March 21, 2009 please refer to post #1 for updated info. We had so many people wanting to go on this run that Gary and I figured we would do it again. Gary will make plans for that side of the Mt and I will make plans for this side of the Mt. We will have lunch in Walnut Creek followed by a drive up Mt Diablo and end up in Danville for some shopping and leisure time. We will head out about 4:00 and head to Stockton for a nice dinner with our Kappa family and then head to the arena to be Thunderstruck with some hockey. If you want to attend the hockey game and don't already have tickets please let me know and I will see about getting more tickets. Barb

You might want to start a NEW THREAD for this run with all of the particulars on the first Post and then put a link on the old Post #1 and the Last Post to the New Thread. We could ask Vince to make it a sticky for the new thread. We can discuss the changing of the calendar for the North March 1st date and the CentralMarch 14th to a consolidated March 21st for both districts.

April is the Empire Mine/Chester/Mt. Lassen Run on the weekend of April 18-19. That could be shifted to the following weekend if needed (25-26)
