Talking Recon to Pigeon Point Lighthouse

We had a great drive out to the coast looking for blue skies (no not the car although we saw a red solstice) we were tired of all the smoke and called up a few of our fellow kappa family and headed to the ocean today. We had a great lunch in Half Moon Bay, then headed out to Hwy 1 and went south. Ended up at the Pigeon Point Lighthouse, then headed inland to Los Banos and finished up with Ice cream at Walts aka Brainfreeze's 31 flavors. Thanks Walt for the ice cream. So thanks to Sonia, Ken and Judy, and Walt for a great Kappa day. Barb
P.S. Pete next time bring your phone along, we could of had lunch with you in Half Moon Bay

Took a trip a few years back up Hwy 1 and Hwy 101 to Portland. That was some of the best coastline scenery in the world. Wish I could take the Sky out there and run it again.

There were some great lighthouses on that stretch of road.

Yes, dear.

We're sorry we missed the call and the hook up at lunch. Down that way is one of our favorite spur of the moment drives.

BTW, you are getting very good making the 12x12's. You are making me jealous so, of course, I'll be trying my hand at it soon!

Pete, It would of been great to see you guys for lunch. And thanks for the kudos on the 12x12's. I had a good teacher (my daughter Mary)!! I have fun with them, I was a bit limited on the run to the lighthouse with Ken and Judy, Sonia had already dropped off our drive and we hadn't quite hooked up with Brainfreeze yet. Not to mention my regular camera was in the shop and my back up camera would not let me use my big 4 gig card for some reason so I was limited to just 10 shots (not an easy task). Look forward to our next meeting. Barb

Ken & I had a great time. Sorry we missed out on the ice cream but the gbabies arrived at our house shortly after we arrived at home. If we would have know that 129 cut over to 101 we would of followed you.
Thanks for the great day. I'll take a 12 x 12.

Ken & Judy
