Sky vs Solstice - formula drifting
Saturday, 8-9-08, Evergreen Raceway in Monroe Wa., was the setting for the event.
It was semi-finals when this head-to-head took place. McNamara was driving a Sky equipped with a 750hp chevy engine. He raced against Rhys Millen in the Solstice Red Bull. Ryhs had difficulty with 1st Qual., but did better his second run, and getting him to the next round. It was dry for most of the day, but did rain as they competed. Notice: No smoke from the tires when the surface is wet. The competition between the two competitors was close and took four runs to settle who ran better today. Both drivers and their teams did an excellent job! Here is video: Ryhs Millen won the best of the four heats against McNamara and Ryhs took a much needed first place!
