From both sites it appears that Thursday, September 17th was the preference. I have notified the Museum Director that the 17th is our preferred date. I am waiting for his reply and confirmation.
As soon as it is confirmed I will establish a group of rooms at the Cavalier Inn. It appears that only two are local, Sitting Duck (Orlando) and slo944, so I will ask for 18 rooms starting the evening of Wednesday the 16th going through Saturday night the 19th (checking out Sunday morning). I will let them know that some may be staying a shorter time (Wednesday - Friday), but that each individual will be making their own arrangements. I'm sure they will give me a cut-off date for the group of rooms being held. I will let everyone know.
We currently have 24 cars in the positive (without double ups), but a couple of them requested the 15th, so I'm not sure if they will be able to make the 17th. Several did not indicate a preference for a date or confirm that they wanted to attend. WE MAY HAVE AN OPENING or TWO FOR ANYONE ELSE THAT MIGHT LIKE TO ATTEND. Anyone else that indicates an interest will be placed on the list as an alternate and will be contacted if an opening becomes available.
We added two on February 14th, one on February 16th, one on February 17th, one on March 16th, One on March 18th, and SXY SKY in CA opted out as it was indicated that they won't get back from Australia until the 19th of September. I was advised today March, 23rd that mena661 has opted out and will not be participating. So until we have everyone listed as a confirmed participant, with their deposit made (No - Not yet - see the next paragraph) there's still an opportuntity to be included in the run.
I will be working on the payment process so that we can receive the $25 payment for those that have said they will be attending so that we can CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE and block that slot. We will be establishing a cut-off date for that payment so that we can fill all 20 slots.
All these little details. Once we have solidified these things, I will be submitting the information directly to those who said "Yes" and posting any open slots shortly after that.
This is going to be a KICK!!!!

Barb and I are in if there is still an opening, it has been a long time since we were available but this is an opportunity we'd love to be in on.

We saw your car parked in the lot. Phyllis and I went up on a later tour and you were gone by the time we got back.
How have you been?

Are you the same John and Barb that I received an e-mail requesting a slot that referenced "OpenSky" in the e-mail?
Don't want to get you mixed up with another John and Barb.

Hey John,
It's been too long since your last sighting! Looking forward to seeing you and Barb again soon. I think Yosemite was your last ride with us?
Tracie and I are doing great. Tracie just got a new job teaching at the school where our girls go, and I have had a new job since July...so it's been busy, busy. But now were settling in a bit, and want to get back with you and all of our Sky friends...we had such a great time on the last rally. Hope to see you in the Spring.
When you have a moment, research a place called The Ridge Road, which was the original route between Bakersfield and L.A. before the "Grapevine"...that would be a most excellent drive.
