Come join the West Coast Kappa Car Club for our September Laguna Seca meet September 6 & 7.
For the last three years we had so much fun visiting the Cherry’s Jubiliee festival and driving on the track, we decided to call for an encore. The day will start at Laguna Seca (or caravaning over together). We will be able to park together in the general admission parking lot if we all drive over as a group. I encourage you to learn more about the festival at Welcome to Cherry's Jubilee,
Cherry’s Jubilee (car show and much more) is presented by the Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital Foundation to benefit the Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.
Of course the WCKCC has a great drive planned.
The registration fee is just $5 per person for members and $10 per person for non-members. This money supports the planning and operation of our events. A WCKCC event registration form is attached for download below.
General admission for the Cherry’s Jubilee visit is $10 for adults, with child and senior discounts available; tickets are available at the gate and are not included in WCKCC event registration fee. You may also elect to participate in the car show, the parade laps, or hot laps. These involve additional fees. Other activities associated with the Cherry’s Jubilee fair are also available. Further information is available at the Cherry’s Jubiliee website. Welcome to Cherry's Jubilee
Our meeting Saturday night will be at 7:00PM at; Mountain Mike's Pizza
315 E Alisal St, Salinas, CA - (831) 424-5568
If you do not plan on attending Cherry's Jubilee, you can still join up with us for the drive, dinner and our meeting. There will be a few options for Sunday drives.

We had a good time last year so it's on our calendar for this year.
We're also gonna do the 'pace' laps like the group did last year. I've been on the track but my wife has not. I have had the opportunity to shoot race pictures there and do a couple of other interesting things as well. It'll be cool for her to actually see what I yap on and on about.

I booked a room at the Quality Inn Salinas, on Hotels, Rooms, Reservations, Hotel Lodging, Motels - Choice Hotels the rooms were for 71.79 a night for a queen/non smoking. Ed and I were not really to comfortable on the bed over at the Laurel Inn. The receptionist at the Quality Inn said she had about 15 rooms available for the weekend of Sept 5th and 6th. Barb
I blocked rooms at a group rate of $75.99 for 12 rooms, (9-single King beds non-smoking and 3 double queens [@$85.99] non-smoking) under the the clib name West Coast Kappa Car Club.
These are at the Quality Inn Salinas. I am not sure where the Quality Inn is for $71.99? a night Barb.

Sal the link is above in my post through choicehotels. I got my room for the 71.99 there. Barb
I went to the link the other day, (before I blocked them) and they were $79.99.
Now they are $89.99
Good think I blocked 12 at a group rate of $75.99
If I would have acted when you first suggested this hotel we would have had them at $71.99
Sorry,
Sal

Does anyone have some suggestions for our Saturday drive?
We could do Carmel Valley Road agan, but because of the unfortunate incident last year, we shoud drive a different route.
I personally LOVE that road and will be taking it home Sunday if anyone else like a lot of twisties.
We could cruise down Hwy 68 to Carmel and take the famous 17 mile drive to Monterey.
If it was not so far on the freeway we could go over to Holister and take Air-line dr over to the east Pinnacles.

Yep, we did 17 mile drive. Even with a low overcast/fog it was gorgeous.
Safe? Yes. Slow? Yes. Beautiful? Absolutely.
Lots of photo ops - of course I have been known to take up to 3 hours to go ten miles if there are photo ops But that's just me.
